Can't wait till I'm a mum but increasingly I think I need to do something else too, at least part time, just to keep busy if nothing else!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My mum always had jobs when we were growing up - just to keep her sane! There's plenty of stuff you can do while still having little ones at home, I'm sure you'd fine something! Are you still looking into Childminding?0

Ha ha, I think being busy won't be a problem, more staying sane that could be the issue. It's great when people like their jobs - you spend so much time there, it's really important I think. I'm looking forward to being a mum too.
Sorry I missed your post Tete. It's a good point about profit margins - OH is a sculptor and this is a sticking point for him too. Although if I got a good job we could live on my salary and he could sculpt to his heart's content. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Yeah my Mum did things like Avon and she always used to end up working at all the schools i went to and is still at my secondary school, think she liked to keep an eye on me haha.0

Profit margins are why I want to get good enough to do the more couture work, evening dresses, proper designs, wedding dresses and corsets, rather than more basic skirts and tops that people can pick up for less in New Look.
When I say keep busy I mean once they're at school and keeping my hand in something for once they leave home.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

One of my sisters makes lovely handmade soap. She was a science teacher and loves craft so it's a perfect mix.
My Mum always substitute teaching when we were young. I would like to keep my job if I had kids.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

It is not making her loads of money at the moment as she spends a lot of materials etc and also as she sells through the company she works part time for she has to give them some of the profit but she is building up contacts etc which is good.0
