Morning Dinah, seems quite a heavy to do list for a Friday, tho I suppose most are quite quick things. No BP voucher for me again yesterday, but I did only redeem at about 10pm on Wednesday night, so will give it til next Thursday. Hope I haven't been blacklisted!
Have decided after looking at some cute lavender scented wardrobe hangers that I might have a go at making some myself for little stocking fillers for friends...!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sounds like a plan Tete. I love lavender, I know people associate it with more mature ladies, but I think it has a really lovely smell. I want a garden full of it.
NIM got to redeem on BP last night, but couldn't redeem as it wasn't working, hope it is today!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hey hey
Have emailed those naughty solicitors for a full explanation and then I am forwarding everything to my Dad on Saturday so he can sort me out!
Poddle - your job in children's publishing sounds really cool - I love hearing about what everyone does.
Bils - woop woop sounds like quite a full on chat, so glad that it went well. When I do my meetings with my uni professors on skype I curl up in bed!!! Best place to be when things are scary. I really hope you get this job, it sounds like it would be the icing on the cake and I am so glad things are going well for you.
ROTE I am so sorry to hear you have the big O to come. My parents are both teachers and I know how it stressed them. Don't worry, it will all be over so soon and a nice bath and glass of wine to take your mind off would be great!

Thanks guys, it would be amazing if I pulled it off! Very close Tete, I've been ill since 2005, was a teacher before and after a lot of soul searching still know that this is the job I love and want to be doing. The job is back in the UK, meant to start in January but they would hold it for me til April and get supply in til then.
I'd love to hear more about book publishing too Poddle, sounds great! How about a weekend trip to Longleat to ask for a job?
Well done on sorting out those pesky solicitors Lara!
Like lavender too, although never used to - weird, it always reminded me of primary school which I LOVED but hated the smell (no doubt some weird psychological scarring there, like the ugly kid tried to kiss me by the lavender bush type thing :rotfl:) Have lavender in my garden now and like you want loads of it Dinah!

8000 bingo port points = £5 in Amazon. I seem to get this once every weekish. I have one account for me and one for NIM. All 1000 points a day have to be played through. I favour Cinders slots.
Well in other news. I've been thinking a lot about this challenge, and well, its not going so well. And thats partially because I set such a short time frame to do it in. NIM and I are doing all the quidco-ness and the like, but its never going to pay out in time. So I'm altering it to just clear the overdraft and £220 credit card remainder by New Year. As I already have over £300 in the wedding pot this will go straight onto the credit card and basically we're starting anew to clear the overdraft. Hoping the car will sell by Christmas which will get us about 1/3 of the way there, plus NIMs dad owes him £200. £100 hopefully on those tickets, another £75ish on the old laptop, and we're getting somewhere.
Dad offered to buy my 'magic box' (ie, an ipod) off my last night for mums christmas present. Part of me was tempted, but I'll never be able to afford it again realistically and I do love it when I go away - get very cranky without a daily dose of music!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
