Hester really sorry your OH didn't get it. It is so frustrating when you know for a fact that he is more than capable!

Happy Anniversary Bargainbird and OH. We will be thinking about you on thursday.

Potato wedges and HM burgers for tea as I wanted to do something quick and easy. I am sitting here in my dressing gown already as I just can't seem to get warm today and am so tired. Hope I am not coming down with something - there are quite a few off sick at work already.

Has been grey and miserable here all day - what happened to the Indian Summer??

I'm having a Meanmarie C.R.A.F.T moment and haven't a clue who else I was going to mention, sorry.

Just having a break while the spuds cook. Decided on pan fried pollack with mash and veg and mornay sauce. Not remotely hungry at the minute though.
Spent the day fighting with paperwork and filing and wrote lots of lists. Struck another 2 presents off my list with mag subscriptions for OH and StepMum, both paid in full by clubcard vouchers that I had forgotten about. :money:Bought my Dad a book of Byron's poems published in 1894 so along with all my HM goodies I have a bit of Christmas organised. Just Nephews and nieces and the girlies to organise.
Took the girls to recorder group and then trawled a few charity shops and have managed to kit out Me as Big Witch, Dtwin1 as Bad witch and Dtwin2 as Good witch for under a fiver. Much better than the £15 a piece that Tesco wanted for their costumes and they will look fab.

Better go and check the spuds.

Just popping in to say WE EXCHANGED TODAY AND MOVE ON FRIDAY:T

It's now all systems go, frantic packing (we've been semi-packed for six months!) and endless telephone calls. The cats are booked into the cattery for two nights and the dogs are going to my friend's house (bribed by a bottle of wine!!). DD has just announced that she has been invited to a Halloween party on Saturday night :eek: Had to ring round friends' mothers cadging a favour and asking for a lift for her - there is no way I will be able to even find the car keys on Saturday:rotfl:

Evening all,

Not had time to read all of thread so hugs for those who need them.

I've had a busy day in work, first day back after being on a course all last week. The kids I work with have all gelled as a good team, but they still have major issues with concentration. Had to send 3 home who wouldn't do any work. Rather annoying, but I needed to teach them that they have to work to stay on the course. So they had time off unpaid (they get EMA style payment). The others worked a lot better when those 3 had left.

I went for dinner with my firends tonight, had the £5 Toby carvery, which was nice.

My back is hurting so I'm off to lie down for a bit.

not reads the thread today - 19 hours at work plus lots to do at home and I'm shattered! I've just popped onto FB and redruby is thrashing me again at scrabble:rolleyes::D

tea was sausage egg and chips - glamorgan sausage for me.

11 hour shift tomorrow for me but we're going to the Grand at Wolverhampton to see an Abba tribute concert:jso not all bad!

Hester I can't say what I think on a public forum, but if I say I think they've made a big mistake, you can fill the rest in by guessing. Not impressed at all.
