Been a very busy couple of days so haven't had time to update.

Wednesday saw the rain come down in stair rods so left the papers although the down side is I have to do them today and Monday instead....anyhow took the boys to football training where it proceeded to throw it down again....

Yesterday - down at the football club and dealt with the press conference and set up three articles to go up on the website today. Got back at 7pm and then had a meeting at 8pm at my house regarding setting up a second under tens team this season. I'm going to take my FA Level 1 coaching badge soon so that I can run the team myself. We've been accepted into a Saturday League which should mean that the children should all get more game time...

Have got so much to do today, not sure where to start. Been to Asda to do the shopping (£35.16), sorting out the website till 9.30am then two rounds of papers, into bank to cash a cheque, possibly pick up a washing machine and also fill the car up with gas (it's a dual fuel vehicle) ready for tomorrow's trip to Manchester.

Been a mixed weekend really and glad it's over in a way.

Friday saw the weather improve so after cashing cheque, sorting papers and picking the washing machine up, the boys' football coach rang up and asked if we fancied a game of golf. Hindsight has since told me I shouldn't have but all five of us (me, the coach and the three kids) had a great round of golf and played well. Including the cost of the golf, and drinks and snacks afterwards, had no change from £23..... Home for tea then football training so was absolutely whacked when I went to bed.

Saturday was the day we went to Manchester for the football. The team played well to pick up a 0-0 draw, a good point. Left home at 10am and walked through front door at 9pm so a long day for all of us. Spends? Well £58 on petrol, £26 on match tickets, £3 on a programme and £23 on lunch and tea.

Sunday was the boys' football match and they won 8-6 with my DS3 scoring the seventh goal. We were all so tired that we just snoozed on the settee all afternoon before I took them home at 5pm. Last evening, went to the quiz and £2 entry fee was all I spent as the boys' coach had been treated to drinks at golf on Friday and he returned the favour last night.

Today needs to be a steady Eddie day really. Lots to do, time to just work my way through things in an orderly fashion. More or less skint again till Wednesday which is bad news as I'm supposed to be off to football at home tomorrow night. That was playing golf which screwed my finances up although I also assumed (wrongly) that I'd be admitted free at football on Saturday. The football club arrange for a press pass for me but some away clubs won't swap it for a seat with the away fans (I have to go there because the children come with me). When that happens, I have to pay full whack for me, normally around £20. I don't mind paying for the boys but I feel aggreived that I pay when I work for the club. Time to sort that out before too long although part of my annoyance is with myself for not checking beforehand.

Today's list includes updating the official site, sorting out the paperwork for my new team's entry into the new league, recycling all my old papers, leaflets and bottles, catching up with emails and doing some housework. I feel so disorganised at the moment that it's making me niggly with people, another trait I hate. I don't feel like I'm really enjoying life at the moment yet I have so much to be thankful for. I have four lovely kids, a nice (rented) house in a lovely village, pretty much my dream job, some good friends and pretty good health (although I've suffered with back pain lately and had an absess over the weekend). So many others wish they had my kind of set-up but don't that I feel bad about grumbling. However 99% of my issues come from money - I know this because I know how different I feel about things when I DO have cash in my pocket.

Next payday I am going to apply for a DRO. I've been talking about it for a long while now and applied back along but my figures and the intermediary's figures didn't match up. I NEED to get that sorted which would almost clear me of debt which would be a good place to start. I constantly lurch from financial crisis to financial crisis and I just want a smoother ride. I need to be more pro-active in getting more freelance work although things may be moving in that direction anyway.

Right, enough wallowing in self-induced c**p. Time to get wasjed, dressed and up and at 'em. Recycling first, then lunch and paperwok this afternoon.

Just a quick update as I'm off to bed now.

Got a lot of what I wanted to do done yesterday but paperwork is still a mess. Recycled three bootloads of papers, leaflets, bottles, jars and cans but felt really tired afterwards for some reason....

Today seemed to get even less done. Picked the boys up as they were staying the night - meant to go to football but I couldn't afford it. Having promised them they could stay over tonight, I thought it would be nice if they stayed even if they didn't go to football...:D

Tomorrow I need to sort out some paperwork for the new team, take the boys home in the morning, deliver 250 newspapers, do some shopping, organise my FA coaching badge, take them to football training in the evening and hold a meeting with the parents. All this with a throbbing abscess in my tooth...:(

Looked pretty much like I ticked everything off my list today which is good news....:D.

The only thing that didn't go to plan was my abscess - I thought it would be here all day but it seems to have disappeared due to me being careful with what I eat and how hot it is....

Spent £4 on a mini shop and £12 on petrol, now have £37 left till Monday which is tricky but achievable as the team are playing away this weekend and the boys aren't overly fussed about going to Nottingham after traipsing to Manchester last weekend.

Tomorrow? Football club work from 9am to 3pm including press conference then on to Dorset to meet up with DS1 and DD1.

Thursday - went down to the club and worked till 3pm then came home as exhausted. Got some tea then met the under nines team manager who asked me to referee a match he'd organised between two teams (under 15 and under 16 level). Not the evening I'd expected but good all the same!

Today - went shopping this morning and spent £12.08 and have been working on the websites since then. Picked boys up from home at 3pm, took them to training tonight and let them sit up to watch England tonight.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a quiet relaxing day as next week is going to be a looooonnnnngggg tiring one!

Not been the best of weekends with both my team and the boys team losing heavily....:(, ah well such is football.

Didn't go to Nottingham for the game yesterday as was absolutely skint, so much so that I didn't even go to the quiz tonight. Spent the weekend chilling otherwise except for a hour in the park yesterday and of course the boys game today.

Took them home at 5pm but have one of them back with me tonight as he couldn't sleep because of itchy legs. He gets it quite a lot lately and can't sleep at his mums but he goes right off here, very strange. I wonder if he's just making an excuse to come round here but maybe I'm too cynical....:o

Tomorrow is another "try to get organised" day, need to get a new phone tomorrow somewhere as I lost my temper with mine today and broke it.... Tesco do a cheapie cheap one for a tenner so might go for that one. Also have the first night of my coaching badge to do tomorrow as well!

Finally got some money in yesterday but most of it went straight out again. Paid the rent, gave a tenner to the boys' mum for swimming, £15 on petrol and £15 for shopping. Got most of the paperwork done but didn't get a phone as none about cheap enough for me. Did my FA Coaching badge introductory session last night and trated myself to a chip supper coming home (£2.50). DS2 wouldn't go to sleep again so he came round to stay here again...:D

Today went looking for a phone but still couldn't fine one at a reasonable price. Will have to get one tomorrow as missing texts and calls galore. Bought some stamps (£9.84) and some envelopes (£1.50) and tonight went to a football match for an ex-player who played his 1,000th game earlier this year. It was £5.00 to get in plus £2.00 for a programme but well worth supporting such a loyal and nice guy.

Tomorrow is papers day plus football training in the evening. Also have an interview to do about 2pm for Saturday's programme.
  • Brief update as I'm going to try for an early night....

Wednesday - papers came early so managed to get two rounds done before lunchtime. Bought new mobile phone from CW at a bargain price then picked up boys from school, fed them and took them to football training.

Thursday - worked down at the club from 10am till 3.30pm handling the press conference then over to my older two for the rest of the day. Got home around eleven last night.

Friday - did another paper round before lunch, went shopping then collected boys from school. No training tonight so just chilled ahead of what will be a very busy weekend.

Saturday am - new team begins with a game the other side of town.
Saturday pm - working at football club as team are at home this week.
Sunday am - regular boys team play their cup game.
  • Been a fantastic day today...:D

Took my first managerial game this morning and it couldn't have gone better. The boys took on everything I asked of them and played well, winning 8-0 and my youngest twin scored the first two.

Off down to the other football club this afternoon where the lads won 3-1 with a sparkling first half performance.

Only spent a pound today as well.:T
