You won't get away with that - I tried it a few years ago - they can detect the flickering of the telly through the windows! My house got egged and floured that way. :(

There'll be trouble if they do that to me, I'll tan their bums :p I might go to the back of the house just to be on the safeside :D

We havent had a single trick or treater.

I have spent hours making up little goody bags, carving pumpkins and decorating the house.

Feels weird not having any kids turn up. We've normally had loads by now.

    Ahh you poor thing :(

I just read your post to my daughter and she said "Where does she live? I'll go round :D"

It's been disappointing our end too. Not many knocking and my DD1 said there was hard anyone out and about when she was walking DD2 around

I rushed home from work, dead excited, and no-one's been yet :( Boyfriend said a few have been earlier on. There was hardly anyone walking around when I got off the bus either, I thought they'd be loads :( I hope some more come, I've got the glowsticks glowing, the bags at the ready, and the pumpkin all lit up in the hallway ready.

Well we're done. Bags finished so we're hiding now, lol. Most of the kids round here are all known as we live in a small place and they tend to head out around 5.30/6ish and it's usually all over by 7.

Anyone that comes much after that is usually too flipping old anyway and they get nothing. :D

Gettig slightly concerned about my own daughter now though....this is the first year she's been allowed to go out herself (with her friends) and she's been well warned about where to go and where not to go. Kinda though she should have been back by now......*goes to pace*

I'm sure she's fine and just having fun :) When we used to go trick or treating it was always be 'Just one more street...just one more' As long as she's with a group of friends it'll be ok

I'm tempted to get dressed up and go out onto the streets to find the kids and give them the sweets personally :rotfl:

Yay, loads just turned up and I've given all my little bags out :) OH isn't happy because he wanted to eat the sweets. I bet a ton more turn up now and I've got nothing left, I've turned the front room light off but you can probably still tell we're in!
