Monday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs Done!!:D:D:D
Level One
Level Two
Level Three.
I managed to squeeze that in somehow! I have done most of the main bedroom too, but I'll post that when I've finished. I got bored of vaccuuming... I also want to try on everything in my wardrobe (extremely limited anyway) and get rid off all the tatty/too small stuff, and pack away all the summer things. That'll leave me with one pair of trousers and a couple of work shirts I think. Back on the diet, sigh.
An hour on the allotment this morning means I've now planted my overwintering broad beans, and I've also planted garlic for the first time. My plot neighbour offered me a beautiful butternut squash, as although she has grown lots, she doesn't eat them
I've taken DD and DS1 for a drive, made chicken stock, and a casserole for dinner, so I think after the rugby training run, I can take the rest of the evening off. I do want to put my new baskets on the shelf unit though, which will mean a bit of re-organising.
Sounds like your trip was fairly productive dusty. I didn't think much of the Christmas stuff either.
Great news kaz!
vivw:hello: Make them do some work as well as eating!! I think you're way too nice to them.;)
pigpen - I'm so pleased to hear you're a bit more sorted today!

Well my colleague left about an hour ago, after we spent the whole day planning literacy in the end. We've got next week all down on paper, completed in the new planning proforma (change for the sake of it again) with mini plenaries, and we know roughly what they'll be doing for the next few weeks, even if it's not down on paper yet. I'm hoping that if we get observed in literacy (the rest of the staff are being observed in weeks 2 and 3, so whether we NQTs will be too, I don't know) that our plans will be up to scratch now, as we've really thought hard about differentiating and moving their writing on. Tomorrow she's coming over and we're going to do the maths planning, and then in the evening, we're going to the other colleague's to start our spring planning! See this is why I wanted a day off to not have to think about school! Still, if we can get the maths planned for the next couple of weeks, and get ahead in that too, then hopefully our PPA times will be more productive and we won't be so stressed out, as we've got lots of assessments this half term and both our class assemblies to rehearse, and 2 parents' evenings.
Since she left, I've put one load of dry washing away, put one wet load in the TD, hoovered the whole of the upstairs including the study and bathroom, had a cup of tea, and fed the cat. Now I need to crack on with peeling the potatoes and making the bolognaise sauce for the cottage pie that we'll be having for dinner. The HM leek and potato soup was appreciated by colleague when we had it for lunch, although personally I don't think you could taste the leek that much - need to refine the recipe and get better stock cubes too. Managed to empty the DW whilst she was in the loo earlier, and nearly everything that is dirty has been reloaded.
Well I'm waffling now. Off to check if pigpen has put up tomorrow's list yet, as I know there are things on there that I can cross off now.
Hugs to all who need them, especially pigpen, mudbath, toots and LadyL.

Hi all
Still have the lurgy, but have managed to do a couple of things around the house. The problem is that sitting down means I can see the things that are annoying me....the bedroom windows have been washed, along with the (mostly hideous) mirrors on the fitted wardrobe (not mine, I hasten to add, they were here when we moved in). The kitchen bin has been scrubbed to within an inch of its life too. Must stop or I'll be back in bed again.
The baby seems a bit better today - still has a hacking cough, which I am keeping an eye on, but temperature has gone (phew!).
All the things I had planned for half term have gone by the by, but DD has been painting today, so is quite happy....
Hope everyone is well, and loads of hugs to those who need them.
Take care
D

I am absolutely exhausted (I think both mentally and physically) so am going to do nothing tonight. I would go to bed now but know I'll be up about 3am if I do, so will just chill, watch a bit of TV and then bed about 10 which is still early for me.

Hello everyone
hope you are all well. kazm relieved for you all!
Not been a bad day apart from feeling a little rotten (colds we think) but couldn't let it get in the way of the whole day so we had a walk down the beach with the boys (it's a VERY long walk, longer than I remembered :rotfl: ) they took their model car down, threw stones in the sea etc so they enjoyed it. Back on the afternoon and we've basically just relaxed since. We had late breakfast so had lunch mid afternoon so I am just cooking tea now, while DP has a snooze.
Flying wise a quick tidy of the 'van and sorting the dirty washing is about all I have achieved apart from essentials like washing upbut I will catch up and manage to do a full week by Friday
Need to work out how we're going to get it off the site on Saturday as since we put it on there is a caravan in front with noone in it, hmmm.....
Right best go finish dinner, love to you all x x x x xOne day I might be more organised...........
