If you wish to complaint about your Solicitor you can write to them or there is a "Resolution Form" from the Law Society which you can fill in and send to them the link is http://www.legalcomplaints.org.uk/documents/resolution-form-nov09.pdf

You have to give the Solicitor 28 days to reply. If that does not resolve your complaint then you can complain to the address below in your own words
    Legal Complaints Service
    Victoria Court
    8 Dormer Place
    Leamington Spa
    Warwickshire
    CV32 5AE.

or you can use their complaints form linked here http://www.legalcomplaints.org.uk/documents/complaints_form_nov09.pdf

Make sure you send them a copy of the Resolution form that you sent to your Solicitor.

I would suggest you send all these recorded delivery.

    Hi Marshallka

Nothing new. Have still not had a reply from Watsons and so downloaded a form for a complaint and noticed the resolution Form. On this it says to give 28 days for a response from your Solicitor. I am going to send the Resolution Form with a copy of my original letter and give him 28 days from the original date. I just thought he may think I am more serious if I use the Law Society forms.

I also though if I put up links on here then it may make it easier for people who want to complain.

Don't know if this has any effect on the Claims that are already with solicitors from Loancheck etc but similar to Cartel in a way and according to BBC site over the MOJ investigation into Cartel they have said the following over the complaints with solicitors....

    Solicitors investigated
After an initial assessment by Cartel Client Review, eligible claims are passed to a firm of solicitors.
Legal experts at Consumer Credit Litigation Solicitors (CCLS) review the paper work for each case to decide if customers have a valid claim.
But a paralegal who was formerly employed at CCLS, has told the BBC that the vast majority of customers he dealt with had no claim.
Colin Power said he reviewed potential mortgage claims, which were colour-coded according to their likely success:
"With a green case, there would be no success whatsoever - that's it, there is no claim that can be made against the lender. I would say that around about 99.9% of the files I dealt with were what were classed as green files."
Cartel Client Review disputes Mr Power's account and said he is not independent as he now works for a competitor.
The firm also said it is the only company across the UK that actively can do this work with a legal firm and that it has got very positive results.

Although not saying that CARTEL and LOANCHECK are alike where cartel take an up front fee though and Loancheck do not BUT did Cartel also take a fee from the solicitor as Loancheck did? I wonder how theirs worked. Did they have investors into it?

Do you think this may be the start of a major overhaul and investigation Marshallka?

Maybe - I would think so... I hope so cause it needs an overall.

David Jack has a court case with them on 24th march.

Apparently there is going to be some TV exposure to do with Cartel next week AND its going to be T.V interviews with current rep's/clients & x rep's. Don't know how true this is but may be worth watching!!!!
Got this from scam website on Cartel.

Also now there are posts that Cartel are defending the claims so I dare say the truth will come out!!!!! (or maybe!!!)

    Article here in the times
    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/money/consumer_affairs/article7045285.ece

Just posting cause of the Which comment at the bottom. Didn't Which promote Loancheck???

Peter Vicary-Smith, chief executive of Which?, said: “Instead of going to a claims handler, the first thing you should do if you’re struggling to repay your debts is to contact your lender as it’s in their interest to help you restructure your repayments.
"If you still find yourself unable to cope, then contact one of the free debt advice charities. If you do decide to use a claims handling firm, don't pay an up front fee and make sure you read the small print or you could find yourself in for a nasty surprise.
