Am sure somebody will tell us.:mad:0 -
No not at the moment really. I think Watsons have got rather behind and are being sloppy. I think they are financially probably in it too much for them to just drop cases. Think they got greedy and took on too much really.
Whittaker is the CEO on most of the Loancheck companies so I understand.
Anyway am still gathering info here to see the best way to proceed.0 -
Just been reading through the whole of this thread and come up with this
If you need a solicitor then "find your own solicitor". NEVER use a middle man to pass you onto one.
If you need a loan, then go direct with a lender, NEVER use a broker.
If you need advice then use the authorities cause asking for it on here "some" can have ulterior motives so never act on recommendation of any company and if you do then google and do your homework before signing anything. Never listen to anyone pm'ing details EVEN if they say they have used the service themselves. Lots of agents work on sites like this and you just never know who you dealing with.
Seems to me that introducers, brokers, agents etc are all out for their money in the beginning (most i would say are just out to get a sale and they are money hungry and not acting within your best interests) BUT when things go wrong they turn their backs as they merely did their bit and that was where their responsibility ended.
This thread seems to me just like the problems that crop up on this forum all the time. Who to make your complaint against, broker, lender or insurer?
Its now who to make your complaint against again BUT Loancheck, introducer or solicitor? I honestly think for lots it will come to this. I only have seen one person that seems positive (or certainly more positive than most on here) throughout the whole thread.
With FOS they always say the broker is responsible for the missale. Loancheck always say its the lender.
Its a bit like this now for clients. Who is ultimately responsible for this when things go wrong? Is it the solicitors, is it the introducers, is it Loancheck itself???
Who made the most money out of all this and who LOST the most money?0 -
Isn't it time everyone who has been ripped off by these sewer rats joined together & put in a mass complaint to MOJ, Revenue & Customs, FSA etc.
If you don't all do something about it then they will be able to get away with it.
Write to the papers, contact your local MP & make an example of them.0 -

marshallka wrote: »I cannot understand anyone not wanting to make a complaint TBH Natalie. I wonder if anyone has made a complaint yet at all. I think they will get away with it and be free to do the same again. I just hope that someone does something about it if not the clients. I think it all needs a thorough investigation into all companies associated and maybe that is being done now. The thing is that if the company is wound up then people will have missed their chance and by hanging on waiting for the solicitors this is going to happen maybe.
I agree with you but loancheck has been wound up so we have missed our chance haven't we? Or do you mean Watsons? Or whole of that group of companies?0 -

Joint Administrators’ Names and Address: Asher Miller and Henry
Lan (IP Nos 9251 and 8188), both of David Rubin & Partners LLP,

according to the Gazette. They may be able to suggest what to do? I realise you have not lost out financially by this but they may be able to assist in what to do about Watsons. I don't know how these things work.0 -

I think that is a good idea for those clients who have yet to be placed with a solicitor as the Administrators should have all of their original paperwork, but other clients should go directly to the Law Society to complain.
How about
"Dear Sirs
I am a client of ........... solicitors based at ................. who has been representing me since ...........................
My case was referred to them by Loancheck who I believe are regulated by the MOJ.
I have had great difficulty contacting my solicitor, despite several attempts and subsequent complaints, and my case does not seem to have progressed at all.
I would be grateful if you could investigate this as a matter of urgency as it is causing me undue stress and concern."0 -

Lets hope she is the first of many like you said previously.0
