Looks like Andrew is no longer director of I-sm@art legal services - as of end of December.
TM01 15/12/2009 APPOINTMENT TERMINATED, DIRECTOR I-SM@RT LEGAL SERVICES LIMITED
TM01 13/12/2009 APPOINTMENT TERMINATED, DIRECTOR ANDREW CHADWICK
I think next thing is we will see the loancheck model on ebay with a starting price of 1p:eek:.
As this was a referral from Feather Finance and would the terms and conditions on Fair return.co.uk be the same for them as here from that website.Frequently asked questions1) How is the service free to use?We charge no up front fees and all costs incurred in the process are added to your claim rather than deducting the costs from your compensation.2) What do you require to start the claim process?0 -

Just thought it may be a useful angle for any one fighting against Loancheck. The other link is Michelle Heenan.
Heenans Solicitors
Michelle Heenan, Fiona Gingell, Marcus Malin, Andrew Chadwick.
Peter Micheal Bottomley I assume is PeterMB as I expect he'll confirm of fair-returns.co.uk (introducer to feather finance who were an introducer to heenans) who had cases referred by firstpluscomplaints.
It states on Fair Return websiteHow is the service Free of Charge?
The service utilises the Access to Justice laws of 2000, which enables those with claims in excess of £5000 to use the services of a solicitor who can levy his fees to the other side should your claim be successful. Each case is insured by After the Even Insurance, which covers both the client’s solicitor’s fees and those of the other side ( The Lender) should the case be unsuccessful. This means that the service is free to the client, win or lose.
And yet the letter above from Mr Chadwick that you posted says
otherwise doesn't it?0 -
Mr chadwick says
Clients referred to us by Feather Finance in relation to their Claims against the Clients opponents for mis-selling ofPPI etc, on a Conditional Fee Agreement basis. After the Event Insurance is put in place in order to protect the Client against any costs and disbursements incurred by their Opponents if the Clients Claim is unsuccessful, and also the Clients disbursements incurred in us pursuing their Claim for them.
In order that a Client does not have to pay any Court disbursements in bringing their Claim i.e. issue fees, then a separate arrangement was put in place with a Funder to meet these fees for the Client as their Claim is pursued. It was never agreed that the Funder would be liable for the Clients Solicitors
fees if the Clients Claim was successful or unsuccessful
If judging by your correspondence you have been informed by Feather Finance that After the Events Insurance would cover you for all your fees if you were successful, or alternatively these would be met by the Funder, then this is a separate issue that I will take up with them directly. However let me reiterate, at no stage during your Claim have the arrangements in relation to funding and After the Event Insurance etc changed in any way.
If Feather Finance have advised you that no fees would be payable if your Claim was successful, then I can only presume that they were referring to their own fees, as many Claims Management Companies charge the Client a fee if the Client is successful in obtaining a settlement from their Lender. In most cases a Claims Management Company normally charges a percentage of the settlement figure obtained by the Client from the Defendant i.e. their Lender.
But goes on to ask for a fee? ??????0 -
Did petermb charge a fee to the solicitor just like Loancheck then?0

Think thats something he'll have to answer.LegalBeagles0

But he won't give a straight answer, that's been the problem all along, he gives political answers with his own spin.0

Just catching up with posts. Have a look at this link below. John Whittaker is the CEO of Loancheck and is the CEO of all associated loancheck companies.
You would think he should be knighted....................

I Know the prize was awarded by lloyds bank amongst others. They are one of the lenders that people are using Loancheck to get their money back from. Why? How does this work?:mad:0 -
It seems like they are all teflon coated making sure that nothing sticks to them.
For something of this scale there has to have been something fraudulent going on somewhere with everyone lining their pockets & covering each other's backs.
I just hope that the Revenue & Customs or MOJ find out what they are up to & take action to prevent any of them from doing it again or from profiting from what they have already done.0
