loancheck/solicitors claiming ppi

I haven't been on the boards for a while now, but as I read through everybodys posts I am absolutely livid. What a shambles, what are we supposed to do. All sorts of companies appeared overnight during 2007 claiming to be registered with the ministry of justice. I feel certain that the ministry for justice has a lot to answer for and the present day government should take responsibility for all these scams arising willy nilly.
Last thursday I received the following message via email from loancheck:
"The only live case you have with LoanCheck is reference number XXXXX which has been allocated out to Watsons Solicitors. Please give them a call to obtain an update. All your other cases have been rejected."
I just can't for the life of me understand on what grounds those two cases were rejected especially as one of them is exactly the same product that was allocated to Watsons. Incompetent brainless **** should not be allowed to get involved with subject matter that they don't understand. I don't even know how to go about requesting all my information back but, this would be the best way forward.
I think we should petition the government who should have much better regulatory controls regarding the mushrooming of organisations such as Loancheck, Cartel Client review etc.
I am just so angry, confused and unable to think through this mire.:mad::mad:
Somebody please give me direction. I am just fed up to my back teeth.

So Sorry you have had all this trouble. I knoww that they risk assess all the way through the process and they have found something (who knows) that has given them reason to believe they cannot take this further.
Can you claim this back yourself using this site there are plenty of people on here who can support you doing this. I have claimed back nearly 20,000 using the information on this site and also the wonderful people that can help.
Let us know your thoughts.:mad:0 -

Hi Ruby
So sorry to hear this and yes I bet you are very annoyed with this.
I would make sure no charges have occurred here, they should not charge but always check.
Then try to have a go yourself with help from this site, but request for all your information back first so you can continue.
If the business you are trying to reclaim from were not governed, for example covered by GISC before the FSA taken over in Jan 2005, I would still ask the FOS if they would be willing to consider taking this on if the business does not uphold in your favour, if they cannot then many on here, including myself have gone the Insurer/Underwriter direction, the FOS are able to investigate these complaints as the Insurer/underwriter would have been proteced by either of the above regulators.
You should find information on the Insurer/Underwriter on your documents, these would be the ones you would make a claim from for example, sickness/Unemployment etc.
The FOS are trying to make these responsible as well.
So its another direction if all else fails, but please make sure of any charges first as stated above, again charges should not occur though as they have not got anywhere.
If you want to have a go yourself when your ready, then please give us a yell on here.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I too have received an email to say he will TODAY ring and give me an update on my files, after I sent an email to say I am going down the "LAW SOCIETY " route . Still waiting for the update0

Well, I have trawled through all my paperwork which shows that two of my cases that have been 'rejected' were ready for allocation last february and march to none other than Watsons Solicitors. So I have uploaded all documents that show this and have sent it off to yourloancheck formerly known as loancheck, I await a response from them - I suspect all documentation went into that grey area that operated as Konsul or whatever they were known as, so rather than chase these documents up they use a new method of fobbing us off by saying our cases have been rejected on the grounds of not having any prospects, but why claim initially that after a through audit these cases were ready for allocation. Clearly this is a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing or was doing. Let them get out of that web they have spun.
It just gets so very interesting. I will not rest until I get a good answer that satisfies me.

MooCow,
I got a call from Watsons after I sent out an email to their office. On the email I mentioned Law Society complaint. Mr Watsons rang me personally I mentioned that many other people I had spoken to were unhappy with his service and it would be duty of care to send out a letter explaining to Loancheck customers the reasons for delay. To be honest they need to save their reputation.0 -

hi, haven't been on the forums for a few days so didn't see your post. I had an email back from mr watson asking more questions about my case. He then went on to say he would contact me again after he has had confirmation as to whether my 2 cases are being pursued. He expects confirmation one way or the other around the end of the month.
I agree totally that they have a duty of care to notify their clients with regard to reason for delay.
Yes, you would think as a trading company they would be keen to save their reputation. doesn't make sense that they can't devote some time to sending even the most basic bog standard of letters out to their clients notifying them that there has been a problem and that it is being dealt with.
The only thing I can say here is to ANYONE even contemplating using a claims company to reclaim on your behalf.... PLEASE DON'T DO IT!
It's dead easy to do it yourself. I have since reclaimed 3 myself and it was simple thanks to the templates and the guidance of all the peeps on these boards.
Let's hope we hear something positive soon.

I have two with Watsons, he apologised for the lack of correspondence and said that the details which were held by the administrator were not accessible due to the company going into receivership. He now had access to the disc and would be referring some cases onto other solicitors because his workload was overwhelming.
One of my cases would not go any further and one he would like to use as a test case as all other avenues had been looked at.
I asked him to confirm this all in a letter...which to date I have yet to receive.0 -

Ever get the feeling we're going round in circles here cflarry? Hmm, it'll be interesting to see how my next conversation with Watson's is going to go. Well, it's almost the end of the month now so i'll expect some sort of contact from Watson's :rotfl:
Failing that, It's press on as promised to the law society. No messing about. So far, i've given them the benefit of the doubt and all i'm getting is stalling tactics. oh well, it's their heads for the chopping block!
Keep us informed cflarry. I'll drop you all a line when I next hear (ahem) or when I have formally made my complaint (the most likely scenario);)0
