You're only entitled to CTC and CB on a salary of £22,000, hth.

income of £22k gives you roughly £200/m tax credit

neither of our kids are at school and we'd get buggar all for childcare costs either

CTC for 2 kids over one on 22k wage is £66 pw, CB £33 pw

Your total net income should be approx £20kpa

£385 pw. Depending on the size of your mortgage maybe not a huge amount, but shouldn't be an uncomfortable standard of living if you budget correctly :A

You'd probably get a fair % if your wife worked PT... Have the free places for 2 year olds come in (Or was that shelved?!)? You can get free places for 3 & 4 year olds though
