my wife and i have lost around about £400 per month, they have stopped her jsa and she now gets alot less since our youngest turned 1
is this right? she can't work raising 2 children and i because i earn over 16k and work more than 24 hrs we're told we can get nothing else!
wish those damn tesco vouchers would comeback, i missed the boat i think
thanks
and hello btw

Sorry you are not very clear in your post, so I will make an educated guess.
She was claiming CBJSA which has now stopped.
Your CTC have reduced.
You can not claim IBJSA as you work too many hours and earn above the threshold.
What did you want to know?0 -
sorry, new on here! yes you are correct. what i want to know is if there is nothing else we can do we are literally better off breaking up! this can't be right surely? does the government manipulate it so they break up marriages and families then?
this is'nt going to happen, i'm just saying i can't believe this is how it works if this is the case and there is no other help or support!0 -

But you will get child benefit for 2 children, working tax credit and child tax credit?0 -
if her JSA has stopped, then your tax credits should go up. but as you say, now baby is over one, they also reduce it a bit
depending on your income, you might get help towards council tax, but if you own your home, then there is little other benefit you will get
however, you dont say how much over £16k you earn, as this would have the greatest bearing, on tax credits

ixnay on the working tax credit and child benefit is hardly anything
we'd be much better off breaking up because of this stupid system
NOT going to happen, just stressing the point0 -
