Does this potential upturn match the perception of people here?
Personally, I think we will have a fairly modest xmas. I don't feel a need to change my car, and there are only so many wii's, tvs, digi cams you need.
I suspect many could ease back on their spending, but will they?
We are going to watch this xmas also. We have no plans to change our car for a long while yet. We used to change it every 3 years but have more sense now. I know of 3 families going away at Xmas and I have to say I am a bit surprised! There were also a lot of people away at October week. Did anyone else find that? In general a lot of our friends and family are now doing okay. Some were paid off and have now found other jobs. However, we are still getting phone calls from guys that worked for us who are picking up bits and bobs but nothing solid.
I fear that there is worse to come. I am hoping that I am wrong but that pessimist in me keeps nagging at the back of my mind.0 -
