i've never ever said i am right - but you're yet to prove my point wrong except for some anecdotal info.
NW figures are not broken down into postcodes Its like Hometrack although headline figures were up it was different thing when you looked at postcodes. 73% down and only 37% up over 6 month period.
As for Property Bee well if houses are selling within 2 weeks like they were a few months ago and are now sticking and showing price drops well I suspect prices are falling.
oh dear, oh dear... you better go back to the basics... :rotfl:
just because asking prices are falling it doesn't mean that the house price indexes will drop... it's selling prices dear... selling prices you need to be looking at. not just because a house has dropped an over-inflated asking prices in Slough it doesn't mean that property prices are falling
next you'll be telling me there are 300 properties on Rightmove in your area that are not sellingHome ownership is not a sign of wealth. People like you and Hamish give an impression that many people predicting drops are desperate people who cannot afford to buy. Just pointing out there are some who own who think pricess will fall.
thanks for sharing again - but most people thought that already. but thanks again anyway.
i only call desperate to the posters that make up stuff and moan that house price indexes are fiddled because house prices are going in the way that they'd like them too..
as for the ones that need to put their posts in bold just to try to prove a point - they're in a different category0 -
Well something never change. I've had an enforced couple of months away from this forum (due to callings from the real world). Hamish is still spamming his usual house price guff. Has anything changed?"For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. Those who don't understand, dont matter."0

Nothing has changed, but maybe he is taking fewer stimulants. Not as rabid as before.0 -
There was a thread about that,
Basically the older generations screwing over the young, in terms of housing/ pensions etc. And generating pleasure from it.
It's just a metaphor(e).
i missed that thread (though missed quite bit lately - couldn't be bothered lot of the same old same old arguments)
i don't believe the term 'bull' is about taking pleasure from house prices rising - its about believing that they will not drop (by the 50 - 70% spouted on here for years)
i agree that the older generations are taking the mick out of the younger generations and there should be some sort of rebalancing but surely theres a better way to put it0 -
If they're going to live a lot longer it might get redistributed via the care home first imoPrefer girls to money0
