Hmmm,
I still dont get the bull mentality on here. Or are they all too busy dancing infront of disabled people? Showing off their legs and going ner ner.
Very similar to some of the "bears" on here last year when prices were falling.
I don't think any side has a moral victory on that front.0 -

They are the same apart form one point. Bears want cheap housing for themseles, which in effect is community driven. But bulls want anything but for themselves, the community/social aspect is lost.
Maybe the bull/bear argument is nothing to do with housing, but the break down of community and the rise of indiviualism?0 -

is that why their quote "housing peadophiles"?
still don't get that comment - could you please enlighten me
There was a thread about that,
Basically the older generations screwing over the young, in terms of housing/ pensions etc. And generating pleasure from it.
It's just a metaphor(e).0 -
A bull / bear to my understanding is an investor who has made a rational decision about the future of a particular market and acts accordingly.
This board seems to have some people who just really want housing to go up or down and take childish glee in any evidence that it is.
Without sounding like I'm picking on Hamish he's probably the most obvious example but there are plenty more on both sides existing in a nebulous cloud of low post number usernames.
Not quite the same.0 -
i've never ever said i am right - but you're yet to prove my point wrong except for some anecdotal info.
NW figures are not broken down into postcodes Its like Hometrack although headline figures were up it was different thing when you looked at postcodes. 73% down and only 37% up over 6 month period.
As for Property Bee well if houses are selling within 2 weeks like they were a few months ago and are now sticking and showing price drops well I suspect prices are falling.
i'm not impressed by your show of wealth - thanks for sharing though
Home ownership is not a sign of wealth. People like you and Hamish give an impression that many people predicting drops are desperate people who cannot afford to buy. Just pointing out there are some who own who think pricess will fall.0 -
Very true I'm am one of the dreaded baby boomers. Just bought a house to live in and it has increased in value I have not intention of selling and it makes no difference to me weather it's value goes up or down as I don't care wether I leave my children 100k or 300k. but it's all my fault
You are in the majority, however there are plenty of people who aint.0 -
