Orange have announced their tariffs this morning:

Works for me - same price I was prepared to pay O2 for the phone, but their 30pm 18 month tariff gives me the text/minutes I need (double O2), and unlimited data.

Saw them earlier as well. Need to check my usage over the last couple of months, but it seems that the £29 tarif is fine for me....
  • Oh now for descisions.....black or white....24 or 18 months...
    £2 Savers club £0/£150
    1p a day £/
  • I spoke to orange upgrade about 30 minutes ago and they are already selling it on contracts for upgrade through orange upgrades by phone. not sure if this is the case ofr new customers. downside is they are not doing any deals at all for any one so thos who have waited to upgrade to get a good deal will be dissapointed.

No one in Orange retail knows the tariffs. Anyone 'in the know' is at a high level and is covered by none discloser agreements. The guy in the store was guessing.

The price of the handset will be the same as Apple tell the networks what they can charge, but you'd hope that they'd be some, if not lower plans, then at least different. . .

Looks like he was fairly close to the bone... 30 quid deal is about the only difference, unless you want unlimited everything (and a £3000 commitment over 2 years!).

    £3000?

I garantuee you, will wont spend a single penny more than the contract. I have checked my usage over the last couple of months...

30 x 24 months is roughly £700... if u manage to stay in your limit and you consider your free minutes (magic numbers etc) I am sure thats a pretty decent deal...

What is the difference between the Pay Monthly and the Business deals? If you compare the £29 pay monthly and the £30 business deals - the business one has 4x more minutes and the handset itself is cheaper. Why would anyone go for the pay monthly one?

Because you have to be running a business, provide business proofs and you don't get the same T&C's as a domestic customer...
