Anyone pay BARCLAYCARD by cheque - but cheque "always " goes missing in post !

I can't help with the cheques going missing but you might consider using the cheque for the variable amount and setting up a fixed payment standing order that will cover the minimum payment and some margin to cover variation in it. This gets you the predictability that you find acceptable for unvarying direct debits and the controllability of the cheque writing for variable billing, while also ensuring that when there's a problem the minimum payment at least has been made.0

If they don't want to process them they should remove the option like many internet based cards do.
Barclaycard Accept cheques as a form of payment . I CHOOSE this way .I personally find it fishy that they dont recieve a single cheque unless it's posted recorded delivery when other companies i pay do .I was basically curious if any other Barclaycard customers had experienced this .I have wrote a letter which is going recorded tomorrow.
As for the other responses well im not going to waste my time .0 -

No need to be so stubborn. People are trying to help you but from what you write back, you don't appear to want to listen. Also, if you have time to post on here, or go and post a cheque, you have time to pay your bill online. It only takes like 1 minute, and you can guarantee the money will get there.0 -
Barclaycard can't be held responsible for mail going missing. There is no evidence to suggest Barclaycard is receiving these cheques and then just simply binning them. Sending items recorded delivery is a different story.. Royal Mail have to ensure they are delivered successfully otherwise they'll have to fork out for compensation.
It's Royal Mail the OP should be complaining to. Barclaycard has a range of payment methods, which should be used if there is problems using your preferred method. The OP has no grounds to complain simply because she doesn't want to use the other payment methods.
It's not about what method you want to use, and what one you don't. It's about making sure, which ever method, your bill is paid on time. That responsibility lies with you.
Don't like it? Tough. Be prepared for a rocky road ahead with charges, debt collection agencies and a ruined credit file.
compensation for loss of RD and non RD mail is exactly the same0 -

You have got an attitude problem.
People have wasted THEIR time trying to help you, and you've had a go at them for it.0 -

Why waste money on expensive recorded postage, when it's free at the local Barclays counter?
I had a colleague once, who insisted in receiving his wages by posted cheque, so that he could enjoy queuing at the bank at lunchtime just to pay it in - and pay a pound administration charge for the priviledge!!!
(The rest of the company had all moved over to direct bank credits).0 -
Are you sending it to the correct address? I believe it changed recently their new address is
Barclaycard
Dept PP
Bolton
BL1 1XX
(Theyve only been advertising on it the post payment section of the bill for the last 6 months) Dept MZ at Thynne Street, Bolton (On some old envelopes) is now for Account collections and arrears payments.0 -

Far too busy eh? Yet you can find time at 3.30 pm on a Thursday afternoon (22/10) to post replies on this forum. It doesn't sound like you are too busy to me...
You have complained about Barclays not receiving your cheques, strongly implying that they are binning them instead of crediting your account. You have no proof of this and nobody else but you has had this problem. Writing a letter of complaint to Barclays is a waste of your "busy" time, because they will only tell you that they never received the cheques. You can't prove any different, so it's futile to even bother.
People on this forum have suggested better ways of paying, but you stubbornly refuse to listen. Instead, you insist on sending cheques, which your previous experience shows won't be received by Barclays. So, you are causing this problem yourself, -stop pretending it's something that Barclays are doing to you. Stop wasting everybody else's time by moaning when the solution is in your own hands.0
