Just a quickie from me. Been off work with a banging headache today, not nice. Stayed in bed til 12.30, then had a nice hot bath and lazed around. Unfortunately pain killers don't seem to be helping.

Am hoping its gone by tomorrow, as don't want to miss another day at work, got too much to do!

Anyway, thats it from me, very boring post I'm afraid!
  • Hi Guys!

Just finishing off packing and then we are off:D....still bruised and battered but need to get away. DD all ready to go and she is very excited.

There has been a massive multi-vehicle crash on the M25 where we have to go and has been closed since this morning. There is a min 1 hr delay atm so not sure what time exactly we will be leaving. Condolscences (sp) to any family members of the crash.

House clean and tidy and fresh bedding on.

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

    Hugs to all.

    Hi Jayward,
I know exactly what you mean. I get so tired just having a shower in the morning. My friend commented to me that I shouldnt let myself go. She was being kind but I knew what she meant. its just such a huge physical and mental effort. x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Evening all!
MSD -I'd be shattered after making that lot!
Lowesy - I also found out I'm not pregnant yesterday too. I've been trying for nearly 2 years with a donor and diy artificial insemination. I'm starting to think that my dd is going to be an only child. Its hard isn't it.
I can't say I've done anything particularly OS today.
I have however got some lovely boots, they are very very comfy and a decent winter coat. They've gone on the CC and I'm hoping my mum might pay for them for my birthday in december.
I have a friend and her ds coming for tea tomorrow and am going to make fish pie.
I'm very pround of my dd today, she has done so well at school that she and 2 others out of her class of thirty had a small award in assembly in front of the whole school. Not bad when shes only been at school 7 weeks.
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening.

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's taken until late to post but I've had a horrible day and just feel down in the dumps. My Manager took me into a conference room this morning to tell me they are not going to give my application any consideration at all due to absence (I asked to take two weeks unpaid leave at the start of the year as My mum in law was in hospital having an operation to remove the cancer in her bowl and there were complications. She's the only person who can look after Bailey while we're working and despite looking at other alternatives there was nothing we could do) feels like a real kick in the teeth especially as I work hard at my job and am perfectly qualified for the job, spent the first half of the morning in tears and now just feel plain lousy! I gotta just keep telling myself that whatever it is that is out there in the great beyond has a better plan in mind for me:o

RachelW1987 - I'm studying AAT at the moment at BPP. I bet you're really looking forward to studying ACCA?

Thykingdomcome - Welcome to the thread, the lovely people on this thread are wonderful and very welcoming, you've definitely come to the right thread.

TopsyTurphy - Thanks for the well wishes, he had an interview at Argos today, we're just so desperate to pay the debt off! Will let you know how it goes!

Diva - How did the hospital go, hope all is ok! Would love to see pics of the cards if you'd like to share?

Redruby - Congrats on signing on the dotted line, you must feel ontop of the world!

Lowesy - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you hun, we've been trying for over a year and it's not happened yet, but it will when the time/if the time is right x x

Mummysaver - Thanks for the tip with the too faced, i've just ordered a few for xmas presents!

Well, i'm off to go and clean the kitchen floor as the doggies have just trundled mud all over it, even though it was cleaned this morning. Anyone have a doggie proof solution?

Night night and bigs hugs to all

    Evening everyone.

Welcome to all the new posters, I am new on here too and have been made so welcome by the others.

Been at work all day, we are packing into crates as we are moving offices over half term to another building at the college where I work. They are demolishing our building to construct a new two storey one with glass front which should be nice when finished. Inbetween my collesgues and I have been trying to keep normal service. It has all to be packed up by close of day tomorrow (only 4 filing cabinets, 2 bookcases and my desk still to be done!). Not managed much os at home, a bit tired tonight.

Lunch today was Lamb mousakka and a vanila slice & cream in the college bistro made by the 14-16 yr olds, it was really lovely and tasty.

Tea was the remainder of hm veg and lentil soup.

Need to put wm on and finish packing for my holiday, am off to Cyprus on Sunday, I am so excited. For anyone who has a child up to the age of 18 who is disabled, check out the family fund, as due to my son having adhd, I managed to get some holiday vouchers which I used towards this holiday. I only heard about it through another forum.

Hugs to all those that are feeling under the weather and to anyone else that needs or wants one.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

    Hi Nikkei,
Well its their loss look at it like that. Try ro distract yourself tonight and dont feel bad about ir. You know in your heart you are worthy and right for that job. I see from a different perspective now as for years I slogged my guts out working and when I needed support from my employers it was not present. Do it on your terms not theirs!!!
    Hugs Molly

Thanks Molly, you're very sweet x I'm just struggling to see the light at the end of my tunnel at the moment. Trying to watch CSI as a distraction but not really helping :-(
