  • Big thanks craftygranny, you have been a great help :)

i have made notes and will be going shopping tomorrow to get what I can, the ones for aunts and uncles will be their only present so will be able to "pad" these out with little gifts in.

I will have a look in Netto too, but incase they don't have any would you like anything for the dove minis?

The spa sets sound like good value so will have to have a look at these for my other auntie :)

I am getting excited about doing these and will take some pics of them once done :)

SallyUK... would you suggest everything gold and red be a bit over the top in terms of colours? or do you think the little black n white chocolate footballs work?

Thanks for the help it has really got me in the mood to do these rather than the normal wrapping of gifts and giving, I have been wanting to do something different :)

    Hi Piggysaver

I don't think it would be too over the top, just depends on how much you use. I use tinsel on mine sometimes and it's quite nice.

For my black and white one that I've got to do I was looking today for some nice black and white decorations as they can always keep them and use them again next year.

Hi piggybanksaver no i don't want anything for them you're welcome to them they are only cluttering up the drawers i keep my stuff in.
I intend to have a huge clearout i just changed my desk and am now looking to change the storage i have several boxes stacked in the craft room plus 4 boxes of nappies 3 crates of odds and ends and 2 huge 4 drawer storage units and loads of towels stacked around thanks to my fabby ikea bargain.lol.
my hubby says i need to move it as the nappies and stuff are stacked in the kitchen and he hopes he's getting a xmas dinner.

Sally my daughter got some beautiful black and silver decorations in poundland .

  • will take a look in poundstretcher for the towel sets, it will help with colour themes then too :) £6 isn't bad for 2 of each bath and hand towels and faceclothes, the cheapest I could find in catalogues were £12 and that was just for 2 bath towels

The spa sets sound like a good deal too, might get a couple of them for birthday presents for next year if I have enough money :)

I havn't told any family about what pressies i'm planning yet as I want them to be a surprise, I know my mum would say don't spend too much (hence the budget lol)

I will keep a check on this thread as I may need it again in a week or so lol

    Thanks, Lucy

    Hi ladies

    Hope everyone is well?

I had another order for two large cakes - so this is the first one - the brief was red and green - hope this fits the bill.

It's got a bottle of champagne and some choccies inside it.

    Hello Ladies

    How is everyone?

Please forgive me for not mentioning everyone individually, I'm not being rude, I'm menopausal and my memory is rubbish! lol

Thought I'd share my latest makes:

Has anyone else been busy making any lately?

Hi everyone..yeah I've been busy. Like mosy folks on here, I've been trying to make presents to keep the cost of Christmas down. Here is one that I've made. The gift will be the tea-pot (£3.45 from Dunelm..the knitted cosy: made from odments of wool I'd alreay got, and half a dozen home made mince pies: maybe cost 50p). I hope it's appreciated by the recipient,..not for how much it's cost, but for the time and effort put into it.Xmas2009.jpg
    Feb. G.C. From Jan 26th £350.00
    First month..pure guess!! Wk. 1 £136.38 balance £213.62. Wk.2 £108.10p balance £105.52
  • oh i love it it looks fab and homely :)
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j
