    Hi Sarah

If you google towel cake tutorial, or maybe diaper cake tutorial on You Tube, you'll get some video instructions which are quite good.

Good luck and remember they're addictive! lol

I have taken the ribbons off and put double sided tape on them and put it back on again and use large round headed pins to keep the folded squares together... i have just wrapped it up in cellopane and it looks good!

  • Hi
Thanks for the tip about the wedding towel cake. As I have pretty much reached the full budget I didn't want to go and buy some artificial flowers so instead using florist ribbon in navy and eggshell I made a kind of flower thing - lol! You have to see it to know what I mean! It looks ok I think anyway :)
I will post a pic before I get it wrapped and ready for the wedding.
The wedding towel cake I have had an order for has got to be in chocolate brown and cream?! I looked everywhere for a reasonable towel bale anyway as a last resort I looked in Argos (not thought of there before) they have a 6pc towel bale for £9.99 and at first I thought to myself ooh thats a bit too much but then I reaslised it is buy one get one free!!! so only £5 a bale! I can use the other bale for my pamper cakes! Yay! Thought this might help someone!
I have ordered the personalised ribbon from ebay in cream with gold lettering. Got a bottle of fizz for inside and need to get some cream flowers for the outside as decoration. She wants to pay £30 so if I can do it for £20 I will be chuffed!
I must get busy - cakes are taking over my life - lol! Kids uniforms unironed, hubbys b/day cards not yet written on (its tomorrow!) I should get on really lol!
Will post pic tomorrow hopefully :)

    Hi Carly

I know the feeling, I need to get some more made for the craft fayre on 29th November and I'm running out of room and still need to make lots more things!

I'm going to make two nappy cakes, haven't made any of them up until now, but thought I maybe should.

Does anyone know what page the tutorial is on please?

    Thanks
