Goodness sake. Just make the appointment at the hospital for another day when it suits your boss. That way everyone gets what they are wanting.0

Costs less than a days holiday, costs less than losing your job for pulling a sickie after being bolshie with the manager, sounded like a helpful suggestion and your response is quite aggressive to someone offering a helpful solution. I guess we now know this is more about your issues with you boss and that the relatively small cost is more than viewing the scan is worth to you. So at least we can quantify your desire to be thereGlass_Half_Empty?? wrote: »That is a good idea are they free? Will you pay for it for us if it isnt?
Do they find out/look for same problems as first one at a private scan?
If you wouldn't pay for it yourself it's obviously not *that* important, I guess the poster assumed it was. 0 -
But cut the attitude - you don't need to have a go at people suggesting avoiding antagonising your boss. Baby = big cost = need job. Sometimes you bite your tongue and if seeing the scan is important and you are earning - keep the holiday for fun and use the cash earned to pay for a convenient scan. It isn't worthwhile taintingGlass_Half_Empty?? wrote: »That dear was a joke  Suppose you think she is ok to judge me as being a bad Dad before the baby is born though eh :rolleyes:
Thanks for the ones who support me on this thread, it seems to me the only ones that dont think it is important for me to be there are the ones who didnt get the support I am trying to give my partner off of theirs when they needed it and now appear bitter about it
I am trying to be a good bloke/partner/Dad to be by being there with her every step of the way and I am so sorry if I think that my family should come before any half wit who gets off on denying me time off to enjoy such an occasion. It is nice to know there are so many unhappy bitter folk in the world as it makes me feel better knowing that I am in a very good loving trusting relationship, something these bitter folk can obviously only dream of
this as some battle about your other issues with your manager.0
