Dusty sounds like you have generous sons - you need to be kind to yourself - maybe a hot toddy? or some such medicinal drink and a chill out evening! xx

DW loaded - I'll set it off later this evening as it smells a bit funny...
Sausage & bean casserole portioned and frozen. Supper eaten.
Having told my brother I was busy tomorrow morning, he's just texted me to say they're going for a walk at 10am and do I want to join them:rolleyes:. I haven't seen them for ages, and I'd like to - but I'd planned on going to pilates for the first time in ages, which I was hoping would make help with my back. I'm also not entirely sure how well I'll do walking due to ongoing problems with my ankle (but then again, he's a GP so if I have any problems he can look at it for me!).
So need to decide what to do. Either way, the afternoon needs to be spent on paperwork and housework as I haven't done much of either recently
My physio has emailed me a very helpful and supportive letter to give to HR/OccHealth, which is great.
Now... what to do with the rest of my evening... it's too early to go to bed (well, I could, but it's saturday night). I could find a DVD... or have a bath and read in it... or do some of the stuff on my lists (but that makes for an even sadder saturday night than going to bed early!)0 -
Ooohhh I'm being REALLY OS this evening. The quinces have been boiled up and I'm now rigging up a contraption which involves the stand my le creuset saucepans usually hang on, an old pillowcase from the blanket box (it's clean and has just been treated to a bit of boiling!) and my stock pot.
I am going to put the quince pulp in the pillowcase, hang it over the stock pot and let it drip overnight...
I might even do a photograph...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I'm back! Thanks to rach, greenbee, sexymouse and serena (plus her DS1, DS2 and DD!!) for a lovely meet! Lunch was good and it was great to have a natter.
Green Day were amazing last night and the gig was just what I needed and really improved my mood ...........
until I got back and checked my emails to find that people at work have changed some of the things on the planning framework for next half term - I don't know why I bothered spending ages writing it all ...........
Anyway, had a quick skim through the thread
Dusty - glad drains are sorted
pigpen - have a hug even though you won't want one!
GnB - how have you got tickets? The website says they're not on sale until Friday (and I want one!!)
Toots - hope your treatment goes well; glad you should be able to keep in touch with us
Hugs for everyone x"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
