Dont want to start packing for it all to look like a removal van, but dont want to leave things until last minute. advice needed did anyone organise a cleaner to be at their new house so they could unpack into a clean kitchen etc? i will obviously leave mine spick being a good fly lady plus the lady who is buying my house goes to a playgroup i go to occasionally ann we all know how cliquey those things can be so there will be no rooms of doom when I leave:rotfl:

    Evening all

Still not done much flying but i am determined to get some done this weekend! Stayed at work until almost 7pm, so wasn't home til 8.15pm - long day as I left home at 7am. Despite not a great night's sleep and a busy week i feel fine - think I am finally just about well again!

I am hoping to make it tomorrow but still not sure what we're up to, and to be honest if I can face travelling through London as I spend half my life on trains etc!

Right, I've been on a computer half the day (as well as interviewing someone to deliver a £100k project for us, having my 16 week review and two other meetings!) so I will say goodnight for now and treat myself to a beer I think. :)

  • thifty get a good friend to be there to clean, have never paid anyone, but got lots of kind help.
rosepink A levels now have two exam sessions, jan and june. because of resits, there are loads more kids doing them in june, so loads more marking. teachers prefer to mark in jan, as not missing sunny weather/barbecues/surfing et.c. so the die hards tend to keep winter marking to themselves.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Please come along!!! I know it's hard to drag yourself out at the weekend, but it'll be worth it :D I think we've all had a tough week at work this week, and it would be good to get away.
greenbee have you looked at the DDA site - there matbe some info about who you could contact?
Info is pretty basic - mostly for employers. Pity they don't read it . Hex seems to be an exception to the rule when it comes to HR... she appears to be human and competent :p (which is probably why my ex-employers turned her down for a contract once ;))

I'm just going to try to forget about it until next week. I've been very careful to drop some key information to various team members which has made them very happy, so if it comes down to it I know that they'll want to keep me! I think my boss can't really cope with the management overhead (apparently he's good at admin but a hopeless manager) and it appears that managers at his level have no authority to do anything at all. As for HR... not only do they not appear to understand DDA, but according to a colleague the concept of confidentiality is beyond them too! It's a good thing I'm not sensitive about my personal information... (but just in case... I do have VERY detailed knowledge of data protection legislation!)

Carol - you have mail :D and so does AnW's mum but I think she's ignoring me

Anyway... it's the weekend, so I'm going to have a couple of glasses of wine, and an early night and meet up with Froddy, sexymouse, serena and hopefully Rach tomorrow. If anyone else wants to come and didn't get in touch with Froddy, PM me and I'll let you have the details.
