I meant the new kitchen not mine! Mine of course will be spotless including the oven;) will have hob food or takeaway night before too but we are long way off from that yet. The man we are buying from works away a lot and eats out a lot so there was very little in the fridge so am hoping it will be pretty easy to clean. But being the control freak that I am I will want to be at the new house cleaning before hubby and friend load the van up and deliver but will want to be at this house making sure they dont break anything and load everything properly!
When I moved in here, I came over with my cleaning stuff as soon as I had the keys, and by the time the furniture arrived I'd got quite a bit of cleaning done. If you're all travelling together, make sure that the cleaning stuff is accessible, so you can clean each room before you unpack properly. But if you have time to get into the house before your furniture, do it yourself and then its done properly!

I have just done THIS for the fridge...
You can’t have what you want when you want it because…
·the bathroom suite needs replacing and the shower is broken.
·the back door has a broken hinge.
·many of the double glazed window units are steaming up and ALL need to be replaced. And the patio door is broken.
·all the carpets in all the bedrooms need to be replaced.
·the oven is broken and doesn’t heat up properly (no timer).
·the telephone bill is prohibitively expensive…don’t call mobiles from our landline.
·the kitchen units need replacing; the tumble dryer should NOT be in the shed.
So you get what you NEED
    not what you WANT

Well done!!! Can you put any kind of call barring on the phone? Or use pin numbers so you can restrict some people and not others? (Or tell them to call their mates from their dad's house!)

    Evening all,

A massive 1.gifto everyone who has given me advice and support. I will definitely contact the union now I'm on half term - I usually get to school at 8am and don't get home until 6pm at the earliest, despite only being a 15 minute drive away at the moment - the other night, it was as late as 7pm, and as the union are only open 9-5, it's made it very hard to contact them as even my lunch hour has been spent getting stuff ready for the afternoon, as we have no TAs in the afternoons. I didn't know you could be externally observed pigpen, so thank you for that information. Also thank you to lil_me for the link to acas - hadn't heard of them before, so will have to look into that too. Thank you to Lady-Liberty, who despite everything going on in her life, has taken the time to write a very touching description of me on here, and made me out to be an angel (I'm not) - I wish there were more I could do to help you my lovely. Thank you to thrifty for talking about her experiences, and grateful and valli too - it's nice to hear from other teachers that I'm not just being oversensitive. Thank you also to rosepink for remembering my observation, and to some of you on here who I've not "met" as I've been away from the thread, who've still taken the time to wish me luck. I really am so grateful that I found this thread - without the support on here, I don't know what I'd do. Thank you also to Toots for always sending me a funny joke in text or email, to cheer me up when I've had a bad day - you really are my guardian angel - tonight when I was having dinner at my M&D's, I found out that one of the emails that you sent me, that I forwarded to my Mum, has been given to my nan, and she's been showing it to all of her nurses! lol

There seem to be lots of people on here having a really hard time at the moment for some reason or another, and it makes me realise how much I do have to be thankful for. After all, I have a partner who loves me - a lovely 3-legged cat, I see most of my family regularly, and I have a roof over my head. The children in my class like me, and so do the rest of the staff, and they've all been great. I also have some of the most wonderful friends anyone could wish for, and I can come on here and see them whenever I want to. I've also unintentionally lost a stone in weight in the last 7 weeks without going to the gym, and OH is appreciating the new smaller me.

I know this thread is meant to be about flying, and I'm really sorry that I've not mentioned any for a while - I promise to join in with some HHCs (I miss doing these) over half term, as all of my books have been left in school (mainly up-to-date with the marking), and I'm determined to get the house in order again.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing everyone again - if anyone else would like to join us too, the more the merrier - every flylady I've met in real life, has been lovely.

Well I guess I'd better head off to bed, as it'll be an early morning tomorrow as I'll be going into town with OH when he goes to work, as I still don't know which train I'm going to get yet.

Hugs to all of you - I love each and every one of you!

    sexymouse xx

PS - I do mean it, and I haven't had any alcyhoil! xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

that's a really hard one...so much so that I don't know what to say.
She needs to do something, clearly...
but there are so many kids who 'know' what can and cannot be done to them that, for some taking classes is merely crowd control.
Personally I feel that having HUGE schools with thousands of kids contributes to the problem...because the badly behaved kids can get together and cause mayhem.
And when you get primary parents coming in and telling teachers what we can and cannot do well by the time they get to secondary some kids have NO respect for teachers AT ALL. I think it's very sad...
I mean I had a mum come into me Weds. - could her daughter have books they haven't been changed this week...
    me-I'm sure they were
    child - no
me - didn't you come with me to the cupboard to get your books?
    child - no
me - well you're ticked in the list...check your bookbag
    NEW BOOKS were IN THERE!
some parents believe every single word their little darlings tell them - and this is a child I sent to the deputy not two weeks ago for pulling her tongue out at me
(Mum was told there had been an incident and that I was sure it wouldn't be repeated - because if it was I would tell mum all about it;))
