Alias, read about magnet therapy for weight loss years ago, often wondered if it works.
I shoulda tried it years ago, maybe i'd be svelte by now and wouldn't be associating with you lot0 -
Sweet, have you tried the lactofree yet?
I love it, dont use cream anymore
Will get the full fat one next time tho as it is richer and goes further as you need less in tea and coffee.
Wonder where Eric is?0 -

I don't use magnets for weightloss, however i do use them for pain relief. They are amazing! I get really tight knotted shoulders which quite often give me headaches, pop a few magnets on my upper back/shoulders and fairly quickly the pain is gone;)
I recommended them to my mum a few years ago as she had a frozen shoulder and had tried everything else to no avail. She was so sceptical but gave them a go and within a few days she had a full range of motion! She is now a complete convert:D She recommends them to everyone now, including her friends dad who has terrible knees and walks with a stick. The magnets give him great pain relief apparently. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning gang
interesting stuff about the magnets, how do they stay attached?
Alias - the accupuncture sounds really good, so glad that you have found something that works for you. My TOTM is much the same as yours in that it lasts ages and is like the floodgates opening, it always seems to be a lot better when i`m lcing.
My food bill is a bit bigger than previously but i do the grocery challenge each month (gone over my target this month though) so i try and budget for it. I buy meat on offer and stash it in the freezer which brings the cost down.
I had a really good first day yesterday and despite a few things going wrong i stuck to it religiously.:D
Brekkie was sausage, scramblies with lots of butter, bacon and mushrooms then later i had two slices of salami with some chunks of cheese and a pork chop for dinner.
I didn`t have time to cook the chicken for tea so popped out in my break to the nearest shop which is M&S and they had the huge chicken drumsticks on offer at two packs for $6 (need to sort out my keyboard lol)so i bought those and over the rest of the night at work i ate four and then before bed i had a sausage and three squares of dark choc. Choc not on the plan atm but i had it anyway.
This morning i`ve lost a pound and feel much better. I`ve hardly had any carby cravings and i`m looking forward to eating the same again today. On this shift i usually eat my way through the day but it`s good that its chicken and not crisps etc.
Sarah - Those cupcakes are absolutely gorgeous - almost too good to eat, you must be so proud!
I`m actually looking forward to eating some greens again when the first two weeks are up. The chard in the garden is only at seedling stage so i shall have to buy some but one of my fave meals from last time around was cod wrapped in foil parcels and baked with butter and tarragon and buttered chard to go with it - oo can almost taste it
Bitsy - I think that lcing will suit you, set yourself a time limit to start with of one month. The first two weeks (if you follow an atkins type plan) are the strictest and conditions your body to get rid of all the cravings, the second two are easier as there is more variety. After that you will stick with it as you feel so much better and can see the weight coming off. Some peeps don`t bother with the strict two weeks first though but i like to as the results seem to appear much faster and that keeps me going
Right i`m off for an hour in the garden as i`ve some plants to put in a raised bed from the greenhouse and then its shower and work time. I shall fit in a late brekkie somewhere before i leave.
Have a lovely day peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
See if this link works for the cake pic:

No matter what I do I can't get the insert pic button to work for me. Anyway, probably better this way so that people who don't want to look at pics of cake on a diet thread don't have to!
Sarah you just click on the IMG code on the left (it usually says 'copied' once you've clicked on it) then paste into your post here.
I almost want to get married so I can have loads of those, especially the bottom left one, it looks 'weddingy'.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Thanks all for your kind words. I'd love to set up full time but it's just very very hard to make it pay. The amount of time it takes to make the decorations is prohibitive - it's why you don't get exciting decorations on store cupcakes very often. Fiona Cairns (who sells her stuff in waitrose, fortnums etc, and who I've met and is lovely) has managed to turn it into a full time business and avery successful one, but she's the first to admit that the fun of the creativity goes as soon as you have to mass produce them.
If I could get comissioned to do celebrity and very rich people's weddings though I'd quite like that as I could charge something approaching a proper amount.
Anyway, back to dieting. All this talk of cauli pizza is making me think I should try again with it once I get off my Alizonne trip. I think my mistake was not to wring out the cauli in a tea towel. Maybe I'll make one for my husband at the weekend.0 -
Ooh blimey Jo you posted it. Eek, it's very big!0

Sarah, the cakes are to die for, my yoghurt is so drab now:oIf you made a low carb version I would buy these for my birthday, just for me:DThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I worked for ages on a low carb version actually. But it's just really really hard to get the frosting anywhere near tasty as you have to add tonnes of splenda and it's a bit ick. The cake you can do, just, though it doesn't rise very well and is a bit eggy.0
