Boll*cks! I've just done an incredibly stupid thing. :(

It's roasting here today and my car is still in the garage so I've had to trek all over the place on foot. Had eldest at dentist and had to get home quick as youngest was coming back from a school away day thing so we had to practically run up the road. By the time I got home....I probably looked like sweet. :rotfl:

Anyway, I was dying of thirst so got the tallest glass we have, put ice in the bottom of it, got a straw....and filled it up with fresh apple and mango juice. I'd drunk maybe 3/4 of it when it dawned on me I'm not allowed it! I'd completely forgotten what I was doing  Now I've got loads of carbs in my system 'coo-ing' their mates.

I suspect tonight may be a wash out but we'll see.

Just as an aside, I remember buying a packet of cigs when I was supposed to have stopped, just because I genuinely had forgotten and old habits die hard. :o

I am an air head sometimes. :rotfl:

Cant you have some cheese or nuts or summin to slow down absortion ?

    It might work.

What i've discovered (when i was using ketostix) is if i've given in and had something like chocolate, it leaves the system pretty quick and not much damage done as long as you resist going mad and having stodgy carbs as well.

See if this link works for the cake pic:

No matter what I do I can't get the insert pic button to work for me. Anyway, probably better this way so that people who don't want to look at pics of cake on a diet thread don't have to!

Sarah OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Sarah they are AMAZING!!! you are extremely talented :T:T:T:T:T

I'm actually wondering if we could use disposable muslin cloths instead of a tea towel. I didn't really like using my tea towel yesterday, it stank afterwards, I had to hang it outside on the line until I put some washing in this morning!! :)

i threw my tea towel into the washer , i had to put the washer on a hot wash with nothing in it because it honked , i never associated it with the tea towel but i bet that was it :o

    Hi everyone,

I wonder if I could join?
I am a long time lurker who likes to browse forum section of website but decided that this was the time to join - the support people give on here is amazing and I need a big kick up the bottom to change so I can be happier with myself again (that was last a long time ago!).
So I would love it if by joining it gave me the motivation to change my size which inturn would really change alot of aspects of my life.
I have 3 stones to lose to get to a realistic weight and it just seems to much bit it is going to have to start now!

    Hope it all makes sense!

    No, sorry.

Just kidding! :D Course you can. :D

Welcome aboard buzzy. Are you going to follow a particular diet or are you just cutting down generally?

  • Well think its more realistic to try and cut down, include more excercise.
Problem I have with specific diets is that I really dont like having to make separate meals for the family (OH, DS (10yr), DD (toddler))
Do people think doing a specific diet works better?
Wish I had a magic wand! I would share the 3 wishes!!

I find the same, it's a pain when you all eat different things but it depends on how strict you can be with yourself, I suppose.

I just can't eat 'a little bit' of what everyone else is eating, I need to avoid it totally. :)
