Sweet, have you tried the lactofree yet?

Yep, it's great isn't it. I use it in the shakes, only 125ml a day so I'm not using much though.

Will get the full fat one next time tho as it is richer and goes further as you need less in tea and coffee.

I don't drink milk in coffee but the reason I didn't get the full-fat was because the saturated fat was higher than the semi version.

    Wonder where Eric is?

Took me 2 hours to make my cauli pizza last night sweets, surely that can't be right? I was taking my time though as I wanted it to be a success.

I do think it's got potential but it is a faff to make!! I wouldn't bother with the greaseproof paper cos that's what I used & my pizza was stuck solid, think I'll try the non-stick paper sister mentioned, think they sell it in Home Bargains if you have one near you.

I'm nicely full of food now :D Just had my breakfast & lunch in one sitting!! :o I probably should have had my omelette before I went out but I didn't think I'd be as long as I was. Got home about 12 in a really bad temper - I was cussing & stomping about like a mad woman!! :rotfl: I think it was a combination of pmt & blood sugar?? I can't go too long without something to eat, it just puts me in a right bad mood!! :o And I wonder where my daughter gets her moodiness from

Anyway, back to dieting. All this talk of cauli pizza is making me think I should try again with it once I get off my Alizonne trip. I think my mistake was not to wring out the cauli in a tea towel. Maybe I'll make one for my husband at the weekend.

I'm actually wondering if we could use disposable muslin cloths instead of a tea towel. I didn't really like using my tea towel yesterday, it stank afterwards, I had to hang it outside on the line until I put some washing in this morning!! :)

 Eric!! You seem to have forgotten it's mostly women on this thread!! :rotfl:

Glad you're back though :D Think it was you that mentioned extra virgin rapeseed oil?? I had a look in Tesco today but could only find organic rapeseed oil, not the extra virgin, can I ask where you get it from, please??

you like your cup cakes to be stale and dry ;)

I get mine from tesco's they have 2 types, the extra virgin is in a glass bottle around the olive oils and they have a larger and cheaper plastic bottle which is ok for frying but not so nice to eat as is

I want to make some fancy cup cakes now, they look soo pretty and i'm bored :D
Always fancied making french fancies too but never have.

Not that they'd be appreciated with
this lot, just get stuffed in, in one go, pretty flower and all.

I had breakfast and lunch in one too, bacon eggs, mushies and toms, followed by freshly stewed rhubarb (99p for a pile in Aldi) and yogurt topped with a few nuts and a fresh cherry (cherries also cheap...ish in Aldi atm)

Not checked the carb count yet but as long as i'm under 50g a day i'm happy with that.

Btw, my reply page has changed, something is missing on the left and i cant remember what was there before ?

Sarah - OMG those cakes are fantastic! Are you self taught? My mum makes celebration cakes (for fun) and I tend to give her a hand but oh boy is it time consuming. I really don't know how cake people make a profit due to the time involved. Well done you - they are incredible.

Thanks for all the replies. I do bulk buy my meat from costco so hopefully I shouldn't notice too much of a jump in our grocery bill. I think long term I might buy an extra chicken each week and have that to nibble on although we already eat chicken as our main meal so I will probably end up clucking at the end of all this. Still going to give it a try at any rate. Have resisted bread and crisps (and even biccies at soft play this morning) so don't feel too bad. I am sure I will have a sugar craving at some point but I need to make some more yohgurt so I can eat that as a snack. Only problem is I don't like much fruit - apples and bananas is mostly what I'll eat :o

Apples and bananas are not lc i'm afraid.

Strawbs and raspberries are quite low tho, i think it's mostly berries, rhubarb is good too, you cant have too many so i stretch mine out with Lidl yogurt (lowest i've seen) and top with a few nuts, looks like a proper dessert then :)

Sadly don't like berries - most fruit makes me gag as I don't like the seeds/texture :o Might have to perhaps stew them, then blitz them to a sort of coulis perhaps to stir into the yoggie??

Oh well it's plain yog and veg - but not together obviously ;) Although that could be a new craze :rotfl:

Tell me about it, an apple is on average 20g of carbs:eek:
that's the whole allowance for 1 day on induction, and I reckon a banana is even worse.
  • I have just taken the most hideous photo of me EVER :( I was thinking of posting it on here (briefly) just so you could see how BAD I look but I couldn't bring myself to, anyway it would probably curdle sarah's beautiful cupcakes!! :rotfl:

The reason for this monstrosity is that I'm just back from a walk in the boiling hot sunshine, such a bad idea, I've come back with a brick red sweaty face & my hair stuck to my head in an extremely unflattering way :( I just think fat red sweaty people look so much worse than skinny red sweaty people :(

Good luck with lcing, Bitsy. I don't know if you'll be having protein shakes, but you can add frozen berries to them & blend & they are deeeeeeeelicious, I use frozen raspberries in a vanilla shake & it's like raspberry icecream smoothieness :D You do get seeds in the bottom of the glass but you can just leave them.

Thanks for that Eric, I was looking around the olive oils but couldn't see any extra virgin, might need to go to a bigger Tesco
