I've also tried to diplomatically avoid world war #93836 between my mother and my 'father's' side of the family (father in the loosest sense of the term because he has never been a dad to my brother or I). where do i collect my medal and halo?!:rotfl:

:T I have a Cornetto with your name on it if you like? :rotfl:

Ok, I have a serious worry. :D Dont let my big grin kid you on. I do. :D

I'm a wee bit concerned about where this person is going to stick her needles tomorrow. :o

I just wanted to wear my jeans but if I have to take them off, I'll be left with those red creases you get when you're a fat git and your clothes are too tight. :rotfl:I don't really want them on display. :o

Dont suppose anyone knows where she's gonna stick me?

I read an interesting article once that said women's cycles will subtly change in order for them to be in tandem with those females around them. Females in the same home especially are supposed to be affected by this so I pity any poor bloke who's family are all female. :)

That would be my OH then:D

Bit of info on the needles here:)

Strange thing is the women who are friendly in my street all have totm at the same time:eek:QUOTE]

    Weird how that happens.

Made a cauli pizza, looked good, fell apart :( nice though.

I could taste the cauli actually, but not much, i think the other strong flavours overpower it.
Would have taken a pic but was too hungry to go camera hunting :)
I can take one of the tray tho if anyones interested :D

Sis, more tips plz, i either made the base too thick (used a ricer and got loads of water out, was brill ) or didnt pre cook for long enough, mind you, i didnt follow a recipe, so guessed timings :o

It's a great way of using up dried manky cheese :rotfl:
Had a big chunk of the mexicana, was a lovely colour, pity it disintegrated.

Had half with a salad, nicely full now so gonna relax on my lappy for a bit :)

the only thing i can think of is i used gruyere cheese , maybe it is tackier than mozzerella ( it always seems a bit slimy to me ) plus it has a stronger taste which may have covered up the cauli smell a bit

there are 3 females in our house ( poor DH) and we have all syncronised :D
incidentally when i lived in a nurses home we all came on together , must have been a nightmare ( cant remember i was always intoxicated :D)

    *runs in screaming* WOOHOO!!!! :j:j:D:D

Holiday booked :D:D:D Back on induction as of tomorrow morning :D:D

This is the incentive that i`ve been waiting for and i can`t keep the big stupid grin off my face :D

my goal is to lose five and a half stone before 5th September :D:D

Ok ok then maybe two :D:D

Tonight i`m having a huge beef balti with rice so i`m turning it into a biryani and naan and the back to being good tomorrow, i`ve got lots of beer and i want to try and drink it all tonight :D so that its out of the way :D Hubs and i drank 20 bottles last night and we had a huge fire in the garden to burn some garden waste so only another 40+ bottles left for tonight :D Only kidding i`ll have a "few" and then let him have the rest.

I have warned him that he won`t be eating normally and for the next three days he will be having pie and jackets with veg as we are still using stuff up from the freezer but he will be eating what i can`t have and i`ll be pilfering all the meat, he has been surprisingly supportive for only the second time when i`ve been dieting so hope that it lasts. (probably dosen`t want to bee seen with shrek in Cornwall lol)

I`m also going to be borrowing his weights and doing a meagre 20 mins of excercise a day, they are only dumbell type thingys which are covered in dust and cobwebs but i`m determined:D

(((HUGS))) for you glowgirl, hope that you are feeling much better now.

    Cauli pizza fans
    - I made it loads last time i was lcing and love it, sometimes i wrung out the cauli and when i was lazy i didn`t bother, it tasted the same but was in a bit of a heap. To disguise the taste of the cauli sprinkle dried oregano onto the base and mix it in it cooks into the base, it tastes absolutely stunning and i actually prefer this now to the normal pizza.

Sweet - Think that it was you but apologies if not, i got some lactofree from Morrisons yesterday, the brand was Arla (the peeps that make lurpack) and it was 1.26 per litre, i`m saving it for after induction :D

I`m off for another can of hobgoblin and then its onto the bud :D

    Wish me luck guys!

    SD

EDIT - Good luck tomorrow Alias , i`m sure that all will be fine, if you`re worried just think that after the Course is completed you will never see the person doing it again, so it dosen`t matter what they see and what they don`t. That reasoning has got me through quite a lot over the years :-)
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Alias, cant wait for you to try the needles, i'll join anyone who has any success :)

SD, looks a lovely place, and so doggy friendly too.

My pizza is actually holding now its cold, think thats down to the hardened cheese tho, i dont think i cooked the base for long enough, it was prob still mushy in the middle.

Just had a rump steak and salad, have never had any succcess with rump, it's always like leather, but i now beat the daylights out of it with those spiky mallet things and my god does it make a difference, could've cut this one with a fork :)
Still hungry though, must have some remnants of carbs floating about in my system.
Really fancy a lager now sunny, i am on holiday y'know :T
Might have a glass of wine instead.

Cheers Sunny. :D I'm sooo jealous of your hols. the place looks lovely. We visited the Cornwall area years ago when the youngest was just a baby. We have a pic of her in a caravan sink having a bath with a baby sponge on her head whilst her brother was outside the window pulling faces. :D Happy days.

I'm glad you cant wait for me to be stuck Maz. I'll try to take that the right way. :rotfl::rotfl:Will report back tomorrow. Will probably be something along the lines of...ow....ouch.....oh......etc, etc. :D

  • I've just been looking at the low-carb thread, forgot there were so many good recipe ideas on there. Still haven't sorted my meal-planning out :o Have a few more ideas now though.

Made soup today, can't really call it BNS soup, it's more low-carb veggie as I put a few different things in. Looks like muddy water but tastes nice & I made enough for 8 days for lunch, have some in the fridge & the rest is in the freezer :D

Sunny, that does look a lovely place, will you be taking your doggies?? We haven't managed to book anything yet because of hubby's illness :( It's possible he'll be in hosp during the school hols so we can't arrange anything. Actually, I'm thinking of booking something for just me & the kids & leaving hubby to it, is that bad of me?! :rotfl:
Btw, twas me that suggested you try the lactofree but twas sarah who introduced us to it initially.

Another Q about the cauli pizza - what do peeps use for the tomato 'sauce' topping?? Tomato puree?? Pizza sauce?? Something else?? Going to try it this week.

I'm also craving a bl00dy steak after reading about alias' sirloin & mazzers' rump!! Lol, that looks a bit funny written down, I mean their steaks, not parts of their anatomy!! :rotfl:

Anyway, good luck with the acupuncture tomorrow alias, don't drink a lot of water after you've been or you might end up looking like a sprinkler (sorry, think I've watched too many Tom & Jerry cartoons in my time!! :rotfl:).

Alias, was meant in a most positive way :D
And apparently they dont hurt, mind you, it was a masochist that told me :rotfl:
