Aw sweet, I was wondering about him the other day. (Not that I often have secret thoughts about your husband mind
.)
Poor sod. Oh well, at least he's got something 'proper' to moan about now. :rotfl:
I've still got a few days to go before 'the' event kicks in so plenty TOTM and PMT and every other MT or TM you can think of going on here right now. :rotfl:Eldest has just wrecked the new strimmer I bought by trying to 'fix' it when it didnt need fixed. Cue lots of swearies until I realised the back door was open. And yes, much much worse as I get older. I would have thought it would have lessened off with age, but nope.
I sympathise loads.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I've lost heart with everything too.
Sometimes the old me comes back first thing, but by lunchtime, i'm fed up of everything again.
And it's definately down to putting on weight that affected my relationship, i blamed everything else, but myself and my friend were discussing it recently and she agreed with me, cos i'm like it now.
I was constantly ratty coz i couldn't lose weight, and if i dieted, we couldn't have a drink or nice meals together, and i wouldn't go out as i would complain i was 'too fat'.
I'm tempted to post before and after pics then you'd understand
Haven't been on the last two nights out with the girls as i'm too fat, but depressed coz i've stayed in and missed out.
So it's made me realise how hard i was to live with, constantly moaning, but doing sod all about it.
I'm fat and depressed now too
You sound like me as well, except I don't have before & after pics, I've always been chubby, now I'm obese0 -

Alias - well done on being proactive.
Sweet - poor husband. Sounds really nasty.
Alona - it's Alizonne therapy. If you google it you'll see what it's all about.
I'm quite excited as I might be getting a cheap iphone from someone at work who wants to upgrade to the new one. Then I'm going to do the T-mobile £10 a month sim only thingy, which will hopefully mean I pay the same as I do now but have a swanky phone instead. And I do actually need one, since someone dropped a glass of water over the last one at the weekend....0 -
Bitsy, the Idiot Proof Diet doesn't have any carb counting. I never counted when I was low ccarbing. As long as you know the things you can eat that are low carb, you should be fine.Same here - I have never counted my carbs - just researched what i can and can't eat.
[STRIKE]OK just treat me like the dumb blonde that I am - can you point me in the direction of a website or something than list the things you can and cannot have??[/STRIKE] Scratch that just looked at the first page of the LC thread and they're all there
See what did I tell you? Dumb blonde :rotfl:
Alias - Well done on being proactive :T:T
PS. Sweet sorry to hear about your H. How annoying he's in so much pain xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I've just got a reply from the hypnotherapist man. It sounds good and he's more reasonably priced than the person in the paper.
One small thing worries me though, he said some people are not as susceptible to hypnotherapy as others and if I have a good imagination and can daydream then I should be ok.
I'm not sure that I have got a good imagination though and I think my daydreaming involves staring into space.:rotfl:

alias its worth a go if you are serious about it , ive heard loads of good things about hypnotherapy, just make sure he is a proper one
my motivating factor for losing weight is my health , my blood sugar and blood pressure were both sky high and i knew if i didnt lose weight i would end up a diabetic or having a stroke
its a shame i didnt do something before my health started to suffer ( hindsight is a wonderful thing) but there you are, i have since lost 3 stone in weight and blood sugars are much improved and my bp is normal:j
the stupid thing is i couldnt lose weight before i didnt have the will power , now i just dont have the option , if i dont lose weight i will be seriously ill
low carb is the best way for me as its carbs that put my blood sugar up , I try to stick to 6g for breakfast and around 12 for lunch and tea, that said now i have lost some weight i think my body is more forgiving and i can have more carbs at tea time without problem
its not how i would like to eat ( give me sweets and choc anyday) but it works for me and i feel so much better and now i have gone down 4 dress sizes it has opened so many shopping opportunities0 -
Totally agree with you there sistercas, you really have to have the motivation and genuinley want to lose weight otherwise you will fail, for me I was always half heartdley dieting and was never serious as if my OH mentioned chinese I was off in the car to collect, now I just say no thanks want to look good on the beach.
I never for one minute thought low carb would work for me as I love my carbs and am not a big meat eater but suprisingly it's the easiest diet I have been on.
I think as long as you are not depriving yourself too much then it will work.0 -

Bloody marvellous sis :T0 -
:kisses3: this is for the little darlin' who recommended lactofree milk.
Just like ordinary milk only half the carbs
Had a good first lc day, was dreading it but realise how much i like the food.
Shake for brekkie, bacon and scramblies mid morning, tuna salad in work, sausage snack, half a chicken for tea and a few frozen ( defrosted) strawberries and yogurt for dessert ( i dont do induction) fab.
Alias, good luck, if it works, i'll give it a go
Got my wartner from Tesco £10 so a bit cheaper than Boots, hows your skin tag looking atm?
Sarah, Tesco has a good top up offer, they will double a tenners worth, or triple £15 worth.0
