Morning guys!
Whats icing? I did an extra 100 cals on the bike last night and treated myself to a Maccys low fat sub.
Actual weigh in day this morning for 2 weeks was 7lb, most of this was water loss but still happy! Slowly but surely...0 -
Hi all. It seems quite positive on here at the moment, let's keep the vibe going! I went into Monsoon on a whim this morning and grabbed a size 12 shirt. It fitted nicely. I can't quite explain how exciting this is, but I don't think I've been a size 12 since my last big heartbreak, when I lost a tonne of weight. That would be 1997. HURRAH! Bottom half is still a large 14, but it's coming. At my largest, at the beginning of 2008, I was a size 20. Since then I've lost a total of 47 lb. Gosh, that sounds quite a lot written like that!
It is a lot thats why.
Wow size 12, i'll never see that again, was size 11- 12 til i was 35, then kaboom0 -
Hi there, Im new to all this so i'll tell you where I am.(And i'm sorry for the looooong post but I have been bottling all this up for ages!)
Im 23 and ever since I can remember I have been overweight. I was always "The fat one" at school and used to get bullied everyday. I turned to food as it made me feel better but then the day after I felt much worse when the bullying started again. It was a vicious circle until I was about 14/15.
My Mum asked me to go with her to the local Slimming world . I went for about a year and lost 2.5st. I felt great, had much more confidence and found i didn't get bullied as much. I won slimmer of the year and was so proud of myself, but i fell in to the trap of thinking one more biscuit wont hurt! I got sloppy with measuring and just a bit more lazy in general. I used the excuse that I was coming up to my GCSE's and didn't have the time to diet. Only now do I wish I had carried on with it.
Anyway fast forward 7 years, I left school, got myself a job, a wonderful fiance and a lovely house (albeit rented!) but I'm still unhappy.
Im a clothes size 22 and even they are getting tight!
I shy away from clothes shopping as im ashamed to only be able to shop in the shops for "Larger Women" Although I have more confidence than when I was at school, I am wanting to plan my wedding in the not too distant future and at the moment dont think (because of my weight) that I would have the confidence to stand up in front of all those people. I would feel ugly and fat and want it to be a day to remember for all the right reasons not all the wrong ones!
Ive made the desicion to start a diet today's the day! I weighed myself and came in at 18st10lbs and want to lose 7st11lbs to get me to my target of 10st13lbs. Then I will plan the wedding!
I am doing a three day diet to start me off with a boost ( I know this weight will probably get put back on, but i just want to give myself a boost and watch those numbers go down!) then I hope to continue on the SW plan (old style not new)
If anyone would like to be my diet buddy, please PM me. I could do with some help!
Good Luck Everyone xxI’m selfish, impatient & a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.Marilyn Monroe

Hi guys
I was one of those types who could eat anything and hardly gained till I had my child and it has got higher and higher.
My issues are I am a fussy eater, find recipes take so long to cook which is OK if you are at home all day and only have to cook and do nowt else. I don't mind cooking days but not 7 days a week! There are things I really dislike on them, such as pork and turkey.
I also get very bored. I reward having got through anything challenging or boring with something naughty to eat. I embrace a diet, get excited and be good for a few days then lose interest, especially if things take too long to prepare every day. Eating out is a reward and someone else is looking after me for a change. Low calorie options when you eat out aren't very interesting. The treat element is having something special and something you can't or won't prepare at home.
I don't know if anyone else has these issues of using food for reward and get bored of preparation and restrictions. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -

You beat me to it, that's exactly what I was going to say!! Good going, sarah :j
sarah/mazz, can I have a bit more info on the lactofree, pretty please?? How much does it cost?? Do you treat it like 'normal' milk, as in is it ok to use for 3-4 days after opening?? What are the carbs?? I forgot all about it until mazzers mentioned it again, I've written it on my shopping list now for next time I'm in Tesco.
mazzers, I've just bought some exfoliating foot scrub from Home B's, I remembered that you used it for something other than foot scrub, but can't remember what?!
I'm pretty much decided on re-starting low-carb, have been doing a shopping list but I still need to do a meal-plan & get organised before I actually do it!!
Welcome Kate & alona, like mazzers said, we are all diet buddies here so post away, we will help in any way we can
CC, just saw your post so welcome to you too!! Sometimes I hate preparing meals, so can absolutely sympathise there. I suppose you could batch cook & freeze portions, reheat in a microwave if you have one (I don't). I've been seriously thinking about investing in a microwave & buying ready-mealsI get soooo peed off when I make something & my hubby/kids moan about it, I just think what's the point?!

icing is just 'lcing' ie low-carbing. Written in a silly way.
LActofree is not too expensive, it's found with the milk, it lasts as long as if notl onger than milk and I can't remember what the carbs are. I posted a link to its website not long ago, or just google it.0
