Foxy - your post made me chuckle!

I thought I'd say cheers for everyone who's on this thread as you all (much to your suprise I'm sure) have just ensured that my lunch consists of a bar instead of a scrummy egg and cress sarnie with crisps! I was so tempted, then remembered this thread and decided that I do want to achieve my goal!

So ta very much - am now enjoying a meal replacement choccy bar and an Earl Grey instead of much fat and calories! :D

That is soooo true, I am exactly like that, if i give in and eat something naughty then I just think 'sod i've blown if or today so may as well eat a ton more carp' . Why do we have this mentality? That's why I am torn between doing LC or calorie counting, but think LC will give quicker results.

Anyone got any good ideas for what I can have for my breakfast that is low carb?
I eat at my desk (tut tut) and have been eating a nutri grain bar which obv isn't low carb so need a replacement? It literally needs to be quick and easy for me to to as well and not something that is cooked?
    I am stumped :(

Lidl's big tub of greek yoghurt is v good at something like 2.3g of carbs per 100g. It's like Total but muchmuch cheaper. Mixed with some raspberries/blueberries and a bit of splenda if they're sour.

Not sure what facilites you have but I used to have this, with frozen berries -blast in the microwave for a minute to make them squidge out juice, add yog and mix, then some flaked almonds on top. Really nice. if you mix in some splenda its a bit like bakewell tart (only a bit...)

Well my day is Ok so far! It's good to read all the funny and motivational threads on here!

I'm in a bit of a blue today because my boyfriend and I are going through a really rough patch. My goal today is not to go straight for the chocolate if I feel sad! I have scallops, purple sprouting broccoli and mushrooms for tea and then I'll make up some sugar free jelly for tomorrow.

    Well.......so far so good:T

I had muesli for brekkie, then a banana for snack then salmon, bean and potato lunch with a fizzy drink and hoummus with ccucumber and pitta bread for tea. This may not sound mega low fat but I can't eat sweetener stuff and believe me when I say that this is the least amount of food i have had in a day for years!!!!!

There are still 2 big chocolate bars in the cupboard calling to me but I am resisting:p (did consider feeding them to the kids so I didn't cave in but thought that would ,ake me a bad mommy:o)

Have saved myself a banana for tonight when I know I will be craving something sweet.:D
I don't like the taste of plain water so tend to drink squash or fizzy water aswell

Big cheers for all those who are really trying to make the effort :T (That's not me btw :o I'm nowhere near 'there' yet.)

In fact I'm just back from Morrisons where I picked up a ready meal for me and daughter.....and several bottles of fruity cider that was on offer so it would have been ungrateful of me to refuse. :o

Son is away right now and OH is on back shift which means it's just the 2 of us and it hardly seems worth cooking, especially when 'that time' is approaching rapidly and I'm best just sat on the couch out of harms way. :D

nice one Alias liking the thread ,

still Icing ( in a fashion ) had beefburger , onions and a couple of hm chips for tea followed by sf jelly and cream

I do enjoy LCarbing as diets go , it helps to keep my blood sugar stable but when I do it properly I have so much more energy . like Alias totm takes its toll and I cant keep off the carbs then , but I am still losing weight ( slowly) so i am happy to to my own version of lcarb. :)

Elfen I like your signature , that dr who episode is one of my favourites :T

:T thanks for that, see I am so un-creative, I am going to write a menu of different things I can have and pin it up in the kitchen so I can't cheat.

My OH brought a wispa choccy bar home from work before:eek: he said he doesn't want me to lose weight he loves me as I am, bless, but why do men get paranoid? Do they think we will run off an leave them with our new figures and confidence?

I want to do low carb as I have PCOS and it is recommended for that, esp if you are trying to conceive (which I am).

Goin to start going the gym again when I get paid at the end of the month, I am looking forward to it (bet that doesn't last long though:rotfl:)
