Oh and also, just wanted to check with any low carbers out there, as I will be going the pub to watch England games, and also, have a hen do' coming up, I am looking for some alcoholic beverages that will do the least harm. (usually I drink lager - the worst offender) so did a quick google search before and found a article saying dry white wine would do little damage??? anyone vouch for this? was also thinking of topping the wine with diet lemonade as I am not very good with wine (think passed out at 10pm after dancing on tables kind of drunk)

Vodka and soda or slimline tonic would be ok Roxy, a squeeze of lime will make it vaguely more interesting:p Beer is really bad as it is made of maltose which is a really fast acting carb. Dry white wine is ok too. Gin is ok if you like it - i do but it makes me cry:rotfl:

Second the vodka suggestion..just checked the bottle in my rack and it states 'trace' under the carbohydrate listing. Remember though it's not just about what's in it, it's about how your body burns it. So it will burn all alcohol first for energy before it ever gets to the food.

Some info on wine and carbs...

    :( < Me.

It's like someone has flicked a switch this afternoon, TOTM hormones are gearing up and I'm narky and craving EVERYTHING. It's so unbelieveably defined. :( I must be retaining fluid too as my stomach looks bloated and I've not cheated once in ages.

I NEVER used to be as bad as this when I was younger, this is getting ridiculous. I want to go and eat my way through the fridge. Why doesn't my body know that it doesn't need to be this extreme, I will feed it and rest it so it can do what it needs to, it doesn't have to give me such a hard time and try to stockpile food! :(
