    Holiday Haggler
Afternoon everyone, well after reading the last couple of days of posts I feel like a fraud being on here so think I will jump off over to the low carb thread.
No offence to anyone whatsoever you are all brilliant and fantastic but I feel I don't have much to contribute as I am not in the same boat as you guys, I am low carbing for 2 reasons - 1- to help with my PCOS 2- for my holiday to the Caribbean next month, and I am not overweight or emotional about it in anyway, I am just highly vain in the fact that I don't want to be a size 10 (currently weigh 8 stone 4lb) I want to be a size 8 (8 stone or just under). Size 8 is my comfortable weight, I feel better like that, but I have realised that I am pathectic and should just be grateful that I am a healthy slim weight anyway, but I am not, so I don't want to be dishing out advice and encouraging as I feel I am being hypocrytical.

Good Luck though guys and the support you give each other on here is fantastic:T

i have a hankering for a roast dinner, trouble is i have to cook it, chickens defrosted ready to go :D

i honestly have not had any cravings for 19 weeks now, realistically i could go all day without eating food as i am never really that hungry, i only ate breakfast today because my stomach literally was screaming at me but there was no emotional desire to eat and i could have skipped it, i am in ketosis thou this morning as i can wiff ammonia at the moment.

our bodies do to an extent know what we want, but they also "know" that our very large brains need a lot of energy (20 watts) and the brain does reward eating high fat high sugar foods, trouble is it does not know we have food everywhere now and there is no famine

Just did a huge post, lost my connection and it floated off into the ether

Anyway, a recap, i was like that last year eric, cant quite believe it, but was never really hungry, even tried intermittent fasting http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/intermittent-fasting/fast-way-to-better-health/
and altho it would be impossible atm, was rather easy, went many hours without eating, and also without even thinking about food, and tbh i felt quite smug with myself that i could stick to it.
Didnt work for me tho, slowed loss to a standstill.
Been for a mosey round the old thread to find it, and realised how much success i had so i'm gonna try it again (Lcing) am just about ready to face bacon and eggs again, lol

I don't think you're pathetic so please don't think that. Bottom line we all want to lose weight - if we can support each other doing that regardless to our motivations so much the better. If you have any hints or tips for staying motivated I'd love to hear them.

    you can do it :T:T:T

in my experience exercise is like detoxing the crap that gives us cravings, it takes a moderate will power for 3 odd weeks but once you are past that part your body rewards you with endorphins which make you feel great, and you actually start to crave exercise :j:j:j

So many people say that, it's clearly a rule rather than an exception. My OH is at the stage of feeling bad if he misses any of his usual exercise. I'd love to be like that but I struggle to get past the initial stage. Wish you could get a 'backbone' pill. :D

Don't be so bloody daft. It doesn't matter what size you are, if you're trying to change something about your bod, then you're more than welcome here. The LC thread is good but we're nicer. :rotfl:(Only kidding low carb peeps. :D)

alias you ARE doing really well, I'm only 4lb in front of you, and I still need to lose another 31lb. It is a struggle, as its really hard for you to get back doing exercise as i feel so demoralised, but now I've decided I have to regardless as my belly wont go down! I have the hip size of a 12 but the belly of a 14!

    Hi peeps

i`ve kept out of the way for a few days as i`ve been [STRIKE]hogging[/STRIKE] a bit norty :o

Being at work is as usual having the same effect and making me want to stuff myself silly, i`m on the worst shift for it but only have two more days left and then i should move onto a better one with two days off in between the changeover. You make that sound like it's some sort of alcohol withdrawal process you need to go through. :rotfl:

Waiting for a report to arrive from external assessor chappie before sending it off with pics to insurance company. Bottle went and I didn't phone them, I figured I'd just send them stuff instead. :o
