Thanks for the support everyone, really appreciate it. Will answer pm's tomorrow, going to bed now, want today to be over.
This is what's happened to my ceiling (that I put up glowy). The weight of the water brought it down. Insurance will not cover the actual leak or plumber cost of repairing it, but will cover resulting damage to ceiling and any associated costs. I have a tiled bathroom floor and electric underfloor heating, no idea yet if those are affected.
Had enough for one day, see you all tomorrow.

Jo - sorry to hear about your ceiling. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Is it just me or what?
I thought that was chunks of chocolate in foil.. honestly :rotfl:
Sorry, i know its not funny but i thought you were posting what you'd eaten to cheer you up.0 -
alias, I'm so sorry for everything that happened to you yesterday, you must have been devastated by both things
Think your OH needs your boot up his backside  What a stupid thing to post, the only thing I could possibly say in his defence is that it may have been bravado?? Presumably he didn't expect you to read what he had written & was maybe just being cocky infront of his forum pals?? It does sound like you need a serious talk with him though
Good luck with everything, you know we are here for you :kisses3:0 -

mazzers, what can I say?! You're a chocoholic, woman!! :rotfl:
Hopefully it would have made alias smile though0 -
Holy crap Alias. You've clearly done something terrible in a former life. What a disaster. How are you feeling today?
Thanks Daisy. I've always felt that many women in gyms look like they're not working hard enough, I'm always red and sweaty and they're all serene looking, but it must be doing me some good, right, to be puffing away? You're right about the intervals in C25K, as each week goes up you really feel you can't do any more and then you realise you can - particularly the 20 minute run the first time (which I've never quite got to - all psychological I'm sure.) Will attempt to put your plan into action on my next gym visit.
And yes, still feeling v happy about the headstand though my back muscles are letting me know about it today. In a good way though.0 -
PS MAzzers - I also thought it was a food shot at first. We are sick, and will never be cured0

i did the c25k last year started it properly in january and was running 5k in 30 mins by april time in prep for a running club race in june - got injured on a practice run a week before but ran it anyway and completely knackered my hip and butt muscles - havent run since
was gutted as id worked so hard to achieve it
i ran for first time the other day and did about ten mins but can feel a very slight niggle deep in my butt cheek where original injury was so am scared to persue it though id love to get back to it
was so easy and quick just to bob out and ''do a run'' - really changed my shape too !!:j MFi3 wannabee :j

[STRIKE] Morning[/STRIKE] Afternoon.
My thoughts exactly sarah, clearly I was evil personified in another life.
I suffer from vertigo, have done for years but thankfully don't get too many bouts of it. However, just to round things off, I woke up this morning and I couldn't stand up without falling into the bedside table. :rotfl: < That's not normal laughiing, that's hysteria btw.My new plan of action is to sit in the corner laughing uncontrollably, it will exercise my facial muscles and I might look younger by the end of the day. No-one will expect anything from me and I will be hassle free.
My plumber came back today to check on things (he's my middle lad's friend and he lives round the corner so is very handy). He ended up having to take off the tiled bath panel as there was pooled water that wasn't going anywhere because of a plastic mat thing. The fleece underside of the matting would have gone mouldy if it had been left so no choice but to wreck the panel. Thankfully I have spare tiles. He's going to deal with the ceiling for me and he works with a painter/decorator so he'll get him to sort that side of things out and I can remain in the corner, happily gibbering.
Given that every cloud has a silver lining.....yesterday's hassles meant I lost 4lbs overnight. Yay! :rotfl:
Sorry for being a bit self absorbed at the minute, I promise to try to have a wider range of conversation soon. :rotfl:
I'm studiously ignoring the OH situation at the moment, I need to give that one some thought and I can't do that as well as sort out the insurance/kitchen/bathrom thing too. I don't multi task as well as I used to. :undecided
Want you all to know I'm touched (shut it mazzers) by your support. Yesterday was just a wee bit too much for me and your replies and pm's helped me feel a little less isolated.
*stands on podium in sparkly gold lame frock blowing kisses and saying 'I love you all'.
And that's lam....ey frock, not lame! :rotfl: I don't have the accent thingy.Herman - MP for all!0
