    Gawd i`m starvin

I can`t get into the kitchen to [STRIKE]stuff my face[/STRIKE] find anything to eat, i`m going to dig the shake mix out of one of the boxes and run upstairs to find something to shake it up in, hope it works cos the blender was boxed up and put away this morning early doors.

Kitchen fitter isn`t getting on my nerves as much YET but he`s not the fastest of workers. No doubt i`ll be grumbly later though. Brick dust everywhere as he keeps opening the door and i keep closing it as its windy outside :D

No plans for tea tonight as i can`t get to the freezer so it will probably be something that i shouldn`t have

Alias - Glad to hear you sounding positive, thats usually half the battle won with me.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Alias - You seem so much better - good for you - stressing over things that have already happened is such a waste of energy -much better to be positive and work forward + as you have also seen, it has distracted you from the diet and you have benefited (obv not a good way to lose weight but hey ho) Hope it's all sorted soon.

I think we may be having an indian takeaway tonight :eek:am thinking tandoori chicken?? and a mixed kebab starter? what do you guys think?:A

*Drools* :D I could just eat that now :D

I`ve had a shake and feel much better, weird isn`t it how something so small can fill you right up, i even burp afterwards :rotfl:

I can`t believe the time, today has really flown, just hope the fitter gets the next cupboard up soon or we will be well behind schedule. I wanna fill my cupboards and get back to a normal - ish life. In an ideal world i would have chopped the kitchen off my last house and slotted the room in here :p

I think I am going to have to try these shakes, but I cannot help but think that these are just not going to fill me up - I just cannot imagine being full after driniking one:cool:
But then saying that I never thought I would get full just eating protein, I always thought it was carbs that filled you up - how wrong I was:T

They dont actually fill me up, they certainly stop hunger pangs for a few hours though.

C25K is the 'couch to 5k' running programme that takes complete beginners through to running 5k in eight weeks. It's amazing.

Just thought I'd pass on some interesting fat facts from my doctor (the one supervising my diet). I had complained to her that the timeline they gave me for losing weight didn't seem to be right adn that I was behind schedule despite doing everything to the letter. She said that she felt the original doctor who had assessed me had overestimated my rate of loss because my fat, when they measured it using their electronic machine thingy, was mostly subcutaneous and not around my organs. This is healthier, because fat round the organs is most dangerous, but it is also much more stubborn to shift.

So, not the best news, but I did think it was interesting and might go some way to explaining why some people have brilliant losses week after week and some really struggle. If you're a 'subcutaneous' person it's harder.

Re. the shakes, I've had 2 of the H&B vanilla today. The first one (made with 125ml milk, few frozen rasps & 15g milled flaxseed, cocoa & berries, which was in hubby's marathon goody bag) really filled me up & was deeeeeelicious :D The second one (125ml water, 5 fresh strawberries & 15g milled flaxseed, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts & Q10!!) was still yummy taste-wise but didn't fill me up anywhere near as much as the first one. I was ok to have the milk in the first shake as I'd decided to have a low-gi day, but obviously if you were lcing you're better off making it with water, even though that doesn't fill you up as much. Hope that just made sense :o

Anyway, alias, good luck with sorting the ceiling, agree you're probably right to just concentrate on one major thing at a time. Nice to see you can still find your sense of humour, keep smiling (through gritted teeth if necessary) & you will get through this :)

I've been soooo good today :A Had the shakes for brekkie & (late) lunch & had jamaican jerk chicken (minus the pineappley bits, bleurgh) for dinner. Unfortunately I now have head hunger :o There are some very nice looking biccies in the kitchen (yeah I know, why did I buy them?! :wall:) & I know I'm going to cave :( I'm still very much hormonal atm so could use that as an excuse, but I know it's actually just pure piggery & biscuit lust :o You see it, you want it ... :o
