C25K is the 'couch to 5k' running programme that takes complete beginners through to running 5k in eight weeks. It's amazing.

Just thought I'd pass on some interesting fat facts from my doctor (the one supervising my diet). I had complained to her that the timeline they gave me for losing weight didn't seem to be right adn that I was behind schedule despite doing everything to the letter. She said that she felt the original doctor who had assessed me had overestimated my rate of loss because my fat, when they measured it using their electronic machine thingy, was mostly subcutaneous and not around my organs. This is healthier, because fat round the organs is most dangerous, but it is also much more stubborn to shift.

So, not the best news, but I did think it was interesting and might go some way to explaining why some people have brilliant losses week after week and some really struggle. If you're a 'subcutaneous' person it's harder.

visceral fat is extremely dangerous, it can do all sorts of horrific things including putting pressure on the heart and lungs, its hard to calculate accuratly without an MRI type scan however. On the few programs I have seen where people have had large amounts of this (and if your overweight you will have it to a greater or lesser extent) it does seam to respond well to exercise

some people also seam to have rock hard body fat especially in the stomach area, they are statistically at far higher risk of coronary disease etc to those whose fat is like a bag of water

Yay! Mine is like a blancmange! See, there's always a positive. :rotfl:

Well I've lost *drum roll* * 8 lbs in 3 days! I kid you not. Clearly there must have been a lot of fluid involved here but nervous tension and being ill yesterday has also played it's part I think. I'm not feeling great today either, sore head, bit sicky, so I think I'll need to force myself to eat more as it's probably the lack of food that's making me feel yukky. Good start to the icing again though.

I just bought a new pair of cheapo jeans the other day to tide me over and I think they wont be fitting me for too long. Wooo! Go me!!!! Sorry, just feel better about my shrinking @ss today. :D

OH is off out today so I'll be home with the plumber who's popping round to rip off the old burst plasterboard for me. Funny how you can look at people in a different light.:rotfl: My bad (as my 20 year old would say ;)).

Have a happy Saturday all my icing friends.

I have washed, dried and ironed SEVEN loads of washing, two more to go but they'll have to wait til tomorrow.

Stop me from pointing out if you'd got the finger out and dealt with the washing 'as and when' you wouldn't have had to do 7 loads in one go. That's what you get for being a lazy mare. :p:D

    Just kidding. :kisses3: :D

 Theres no way on this planet that i could do seven loads of ironing:eek:

Last night i was bad as expected :o i had a microwave curry with bhaji`s and naan and far too much wine. Went to bed late and got up early with a surprisingly clear head and ran for the scales.

I`m 2lb lighter but that will be the dehydration due to the alcohol. The next two nights will probably be the same as kitchen wise its not fit to be preparing food even when i`ve had a clean around. It`s all brick dust but is looking very nice atm. I`ve just pointed out to the fitter that we will need to replace a section of worktop with some of the spare piece from the garage as at the back there is a lump where the surface has risen and it will only get worse.

We seem to have a good length of worktop and a bad length delivered but its far too late to send it back.

Foodwise today i shall be having a shake later and then no idea for tea. I fancy something salady but that probably won`t be possible so i shall leave that decision until much later.

Sweet - Sounds like you are getting on great with the shakes, i`m far too lazy to add anything to them :D i`ve not tried milk as i`m still trying to keep the carbs reasonably low so i`ve mixed all of mine with water. If i tried milk then i just know that i would prefer it and keep doing it so i`m not going to go there :D

Right, off for a browse and then its doggie walking time.

    Have a lovely day peeps.

    Morning peeps :hello:

alias, keep your hands off the plumber!! :rotfl:

Sunny, taste-wise the shakes were exactly the same (apart from the different flavours, iykwim?! :o) they were both really nice, but the water version definitely didn't fill me up as much. Think I might do the same again today, one milk & one water, but I don't have any more of the milled linseed combo thingies so will just add some fruit :D

Btw, you've just reminded me I have a doggy to see to!! I'm doggy-sitting for my sister so I'll have to get round there or she'll have left me a little present to clean up (the doggy, not the sister!! :rotfl:)

So, very quickly, I was naughty last night, as expected. Had crisps, a sandwich & about 5 biccies (curses Fox's favourites!!) Also half a bottle of red wine, hic. But, I've lost a lb since yesterday  Won't complain :D

    I know ;)

Huh, my basket gets overflowing overnight, they like to stash the dirty washing on the floor in their rooms and then when their friends come, it all gets thrown on the landing.
Also not been here, been working and helping niece, she's managing now though so wont need to go again :)

It wasn't all ironing SD, towels just get folded, as do sheets and underwear.
Sadly, i do iron my tea towels and quilt covers though.

Anyway, glad i was so energetic as its pouring here today.

Well it waitied until the i reached the park entrance and the heavens opened, i`m now a very soggy Sunny with two soggy doggies. The mattress protector is outside on the line and i can`t get through the kitchen atm to bring it in so outside it will have to stay, i`ll put it through the machine on a rinse later.

Just remembered that i need to pop to the cleaners at some stage which should be fun trying to park on a Saturday morning  wish i`d gone yesterday but i keep forgetting.

I`m trying to put off doing anything now so i`ll have a nosy around and see if my mood changes :D I keep thinking about the sausages in the fridge :D

Think i shall have a browse at fridge freezers too.

I`m using the maxitone ones from H&B and Sweet is using H&B`s own brand ones i think, i shall be trying the ones that Mazzers posted about a couple of pages back soon as they work out better value but the maxitone ones are great.
