Just interested - what are you mixing your shakes with? I mean, water? Or Lactofree or something?0

I went to the diet clinic yesterday and have lost more weight. I am so pleased with myself and they are really pleased with me. I'm losing about a pound a week which is what they want. Healthy and sustainable. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Ah, OK. Milk always has been off-limits for my low carbing so I used to use soya milk. Or lactofree, which is much nicer. Just thought there might have been something I missed...0 -

Foxy, are you following a particular plan? With IPD it's all very clear - no milk. It's just too carby. Buy Lactofree. Coleslaw you need to read the labels for. Sainsbury's taste the diff is good - as a rule, the higher quality the slaw, the more likely it will be low carb. Look at the label - if it's less than 4g of carbs per 100g it's ok. Any more than that and you'll be stalling yourself. I make my own with less carrot than commercial brands.
Milk carb counts per 100g:
Whole milk - 11.4 grams of carbohydrate
2 % milk - 11.7
1 % milk - 11.6
Fat-free (skim) milk - 11.9
Buttermilk - 11.7
Goat's milk - 10.9
Half and Half - 10.4
Light Cream - 7.1
Heavy Cream - 6.60 -
Thanks Sarah - you are a star
I am not following anything in particular just trying to cut out carbs, I google low carb recipes and that but I find following a particular diet is to restrictive.
Looks like I had better put a splodge of cream in my brew instead then.:rotfl:0 -
decaf coffee wtih cream and splenda was always my nightly treat on low carb. It feels deliciously indulgent and it is a good way to keep sweet-pangs at bay after your supper.0

Hello peeps :hello:
I'm getting mighty confused about these shakes  Think I'm suffering from TMI overload!! :rotfl: Decided to be decisive this morning & not to over-analyse things (thanks to sunny, I like your style) & headed off to Boots to buy the maxitone definity shakes. Only they didn't have any
They only had the sculptress shakes at nearly twice the price!! So I headed off to H&B, read the maxitone leaflet they had, and started analysing
Got more confused when the sales assistant came over & told me their version (think she said nearly 40 servings as opposed to 14 for the maxitone??) was going to be half-price from this Thursday!! I've just looked on the H&B website, think this was the one, & there's already £10 off online, so currently £14.99

So, now I don't know what to do about the shakes:huh::o
But, on the plus side, I bought myself some fit flops today!! :j:j:j
Don't know if anyone has tried them?? I've been thinking about getting some for ages & finally made a decision to get them today!! These are the ones I got:

They are lovely & sparklyThink the toe posts will kill my feet initially, tried to get some Scholl toe post plaster things from Boots, but they didn't have them either.
So, toned legs & bum, here I come!! :rotfl:0
