I never got on with WW I'm afraid but I'd always recommend Slimming World. You never go hungry and there are a lot more 'free foods' than WW which makes eating out & away from home a lot easier. I lost 3.5 stone in 5 months with Slimming World so 6 stone in 12 months is certainly achievable however the closer you get to target the more you'll need to stick to it 100% & exercise.

Not an easy day, still feeling a bit groggy but determined to do a little bit to stay on track even if I don't do as much as usual. A little is better than nothing.

2kms bike so far, really having to push myself - will try a bit more later - maybe
    yoga and weights as usual

    Treatment - eyebrow tidy
Tidy nails, massage vaseline into nails and finger tips - so dry, skin peeling must be the cold weather

Using the oil cleanse most days now, skin much better.

Well day 10 and all is going well, with only minor hiccups which I expected!
It has been a little crazy here with last minute bits and bobs for Christmas. Seeing so many goodies it crossed my mind how I was going to cope over the festive season, it will certainly be a test, even though I don't buy anywhere near the amount I used to.

LL are you feeling better, I hope so?
Do you do your yoga with a video? I used to do pilates years ago which was good but boy did my muscles ache!

    Keep up the good work

    Frump to Fab

I did the oil cleanse yesterday and am pleased with the results. Will keep doing it over the holidays.

Any tips on a conditioner for dry hair, LL? I love conditioner.

I am still taking my vitamins and we will be having some time off so am hoping to be healthy and chilled out by the New Year.

Am also in favour of decluttering the wardrobe over Xmas. I know I have stuff that doesn't fit or I simply don't like. I tend to live in organised chaos but feel better emotionally if stuff is tidy. I need to see things to use them and be inspired.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

    Hi everyone

    Feeling much better today, thanks.

Know what you mean Carmen about Christmas temptation. I've been thinking about this - tbh that's why I started Fab to Frump before Christmas. All logic says to wait until New Year, but I just looked and felt so awful I decided to just go for it and try and work round Christmas.

I've decided that because (for me) it's going to be a marathon rather than a sprint I won't worry too much if I put a couple of pounds on. If I had not done anything and waited I could easily put half a stone on over the Christmas period.

I think we just have to do what feels right. I am not going to be a martyr, I will eat what I like but in moderation. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, and New Years day I will relax a little but the rest of the time I shall try to pull back. I will not stuff my self silly for the entire 12 days of Christmas. That way the damage shouldn't be too
    bad.

At the minute not following any DVD for yoga - just a few basic stretches and my physio exercise. Got to build up slowly and get more supple first. Will get the DVD's out in the New Year. I;m feeling a lot less stiff in the mornings so I must be doing some good.!!

Whitewing - do you mean homemade conditioner - if so any olive oil/veg oil will do, although some people use an egg or even mayonnaise. (If you use an egg you'll have to rinse off with fairly tepid water or you'll end up with scrambled egg). If you've got a few pennies, coconut oil is very cheap. Comes in solid form and you have to warm it to melt it. Most chemists stock it but you may have to ask for it rather than finding it on the shelves. - These are all pre-wash conditioners. Coconut oil is best. If you've got a bit of time, leave it on for a while with a warm towel wrapped round your head to allow it to really work

I hate in living in chaos too, I love having tidy cupboards etc. I've been doing one drawer or cupboard a day - getting there.

Not exercised yet - does a mega shop at ASDA count, all that lugging stuff to and from the car and then putting it all away.

(I am up to 100 sit ups a day - could only manage 20 12 days ago).

Beauty treatment - depilation (urgh) hate that job

Ooops that should of course be Frump to Fab. Although ....the way I look at the moment, trackies, horrible jumper which I hate, that's going out in the New Year wardrobe audit, and my hair needs washing.

Anyway, just a quickie, just done bike (it's kept in the study, next to the computer so it glares at me if I don't use it).

Last minute cleaning and tidying up then a soak in bath, lots of bubbles and a facepack.

This one gives a toned and lifted look.

2 teaspoons garam flour (also known as chickpea flour - most supermarkets in the ethic food aisle)
    2 teaspoons runny honey
    1 teaspoon warm water

    about 10-15 minutes

Thought some of you might be interested in this over the holiday

    Emergency Spot Treatment

Rich food, alcohol, late nights = stressed congested skin = zits

    Try this as an emergency

Nighttime only perhaps for this - apply blob of toothpaste directly to spot. Just a quick note added to this, thanks for Carmen for pointing this out. My instructions weren't very clear. Although I've had no ill effects (perhaps because I use Sensodyne toothpaste) Carmen mentioned that she left toothpaste on a spot overnight and was left with a nasty burn. Perhaps just an hour or so might be best.

    or

Apply any neat, clear spirits (no mixers or flavourings) directly to spot, vodka, gin or white rum. You can put makeup over afterwards. Vodka is best because it doesn't smell.

Hope you all have a lovely and fab Christmas

    Love LL

Love the idea of this but I'm afraid I'd be trying to lick it off!! Still, could be good facial exercise.:rotfl:

I'm with you on the realaxing regimes over Christmas but I'm determined that this isn't going to be for 12 days solid! I'm going to find it fairly easy to stick to my plan most of the time but I know that additional alcoholic calories will mount up. I'm just going to do my best and then hit the healthy eating hard in January.

Me too on the feeling better after tidying up (or Feng Shui:D). I'll be doing the drawers and cupboards in the New Year, after a major deep clean when Christmas Decs come down (only went up on Monday!:rotfl:)

Happy Christmas to you all, make sure you sparkle!!!

I have just prepared the veg for tomorrow, because it seems to take forever on Christmas morn with a hangover (just kidding)
Gammon soaking, veg casserole bubbling away for dinner tonight, goodies out for picking (not me of course ;)) Maybe I should not have bought the washbi pea's and peanuts, I just love them!

As you say LL, battling through the crowds today is an excercise in itself!

Just to add to your toothpaste tip, do NOT leave it on overnight. I did that once and it actually burnt my skin and I had a nasty scabby thing on my chin for nearly three weeks

Well, I hope you all have a good Christmas and not tempted too indulge much :D

    Hi Carmen

Thanks for that about the toothpaste. Must vary from person to person because so far I've been ok. However, it's best to be careful.

Apparently the Summer Solstice Thread is open again (?) So see you over there after Christmas.

Have a lovely time, you seem to have it all under control. Yep, we had a casserole too, nice and easy when you are busy.
