My exH tried them for a week. Experience very similar to moomoominx. The toilets in our house were gross, his underwear was stained it was absolutely disgusting. He made the mistake of having a couple of small pieces of a garlic baguette when we were out with friends for a meal and he only just got to the loo in time..He came off them after 7 days because he was constantly worried about the effects.
I will follow the thread with interest because I actually dont know anyone who's been able to stick with these for very long.0 -
They dont call them 'alli oops' for nothing! My friend tried them and soiled herself in Waitrose car park.
No thank you.Smoke Free since 1 January 20130 -
If you've already managed to lose 3 stone by healthy eating...and big congrats for that :T...then you know you don't need these to do it for you. Continue the healthy eating, maybe look at doing more exercise and spare yourself the side effects0

Orange grease is a good description!
I found them very good when I was being very disciplined and checking the fat content of every single thing I bought and ate, but it was very difficult to keep up.From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0 -

Hello Everyone:wave:
I am back and ready for 2011!!!!!
I have got 5stone:shhh: to lose this year and am starting with baby steps again. Have had a carp 2010 but will not dwell.......
I am going to start by setting myself small changes which I will do for 28 days (to form a habit) then hopefully I won't really notice so it will make it easier iyswim.
1st challenge - started on the 4th Jan (next one on the 1st Feb) is to not snack at all.0 -
Thank you to all those who posted information on Alli. I think we got the picture.... I think the fact that a product with such extreme anti-social side effects has been allowed to make it on to the market shows how being overweight is seen as being vastly undesirable. Soiling your jeans is somehow more acceptable than having a muffin top, in the twisted logic of Alli.
I have arthritis and do need to keep my weight down. I also love to celebrate Christmas and New Year with special treats which means I now need to lose weight.
But I definitely won't be going the Alli route. I can't exercise too much but I can control what I put in my mouth.
Good luck to those wishing to get their weight to something they feel happy with and a happy, healthy, wealthy 2011 to all ...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Oh yes I too would like to lose some weight. I have put on 5lbs, now I know it doesnt seem like a lot, but due to my mobility having previously lost 3stones, in just over a couple of years from doing the arm chair workouts, it takes a long time and lot of hard work to lose that much. 5lbs will take ages for me, about 2/3months but I like the idea of fitting into my clothes rather than buying larger sizes. Hope all goes well for everyone.0
