    Hello peeps :o

Thought I'd better sign in just so you know I'm still alive :o

Have been having a really carp time these last couple of weeks (Eric, female TMI alert!!) with hormonal mood swings/depression. Awful really :( I get the usual PMT symptoms every month, but occasionally I get extreme symptoms like this month :( Just want to hide in a hole (or cave) & wallow in self-pity & chocolate :o I know the carp diet probably hasn't helped this month, but tbh I've had bad months like this when I've been lcing so I don't know if it is that

Anyway, I'm starting to feel brighter (mentally) although I'm still binge-eating like a woman possessed :o My jeans & bras are feeling the strain, I know I've put weight & rolls of flab on & my zip kept coming down when I was shopping today. I also look like a woolly mammoth as my hair (head, legs & pits) are all overdue a trim :o Probably giving everyone a lovely image there. I desperately need a [STRIKE]kick up the bum[/STRIKE] makeover.

Btw, does anyone here (admit to) secret scoffs?? :o I do most of my pigging out when there's no one around & I get rid of incriminating receipts & wrappers. Actually got distracted yesterday & forgot to hide something before my kids got home from school, I'm not sure if DD1 saw what it was, she never said anything, but I felt so ashamed at the thought of being caught out :( Over-eating, especially in secret, is something I really need to tackle.

alias, I hope you're not going to bog off when I'm just sneaking back in. Sorry, I haven't checked my emails for ages but will have a look after I've signed out of here :o

Hope I haven't brought the mood of this thread down :( as there are still some lovely positive peeps on here :j Just wish I was one of them :D Hopefully I'll be back to my cheery self soon :D

I just want something that I can stick to ...

Last week when I was on hols I ate a stupid amount of chocolate. I found myself eating it when DH was in the garden & then stuffing the wrappers to the bottom of the bin so he didn't see how much I'd had.

Really stupid, I only have a few lbs left to lose so his response would have been 'so what?' It's like we've all said, the secret is all in getting our heads in the right place & then we can achieve whatever we want. Easier said than done but, with support, definitely possible.

Reading about everyone's efforts, their successes & their problems helps me to realise I'm just like everyone else

Well, its only me thats in a good mood then :)

Eric, last year when i was lc'ing, i was very determined, and lost lots of inches, it's just so hard sticking to a plan long term and keeping it off, willpower only lasts so long and one little waver and it's the slippery slope and i think thats my stumbling block atm, knowing however much i lose, it's so easy to put it all back on, so whats the point, anyway..
I think exercise is the thing i should focus on atm, so a friend and i have decided to go walking.

Me too, trouble with icing is, as soon as you have any carbs on an 'off' day, you get so damn bloated, with SW and low cal, i cant seem to regulate my carbs anymore, with low gi its too hi carb for me so i dont lose, so like you, i just want something i can stick to that works!

Glad you're not under the patio with alias btw :)

Oh and one thing i dont do is secret scoff, i'm on my own a lot so no-one would know!

Hi all. No idea where Sweet is. I've emailed her and not got a reply so she's maybe on her hols or has found one of those caves we were speaking about heading to in the past. :D

As for me, I'm a bit p*ssed off with this place right now. People are getting on my nerves so I think it's time I took a wee break otherwise I'm gonna end up telling everyone to fcuk off which clearly isn't good or nice. :rotfl:

(Not you lot I hasten to add, you lot are a nice easy bunch to chat to and I like you loads. :D)

Anyway, I daresay I'll be posting again very soon as my nose wont let me stay away. :rotfl: See you all later.

Let it all out it is good theraphy and we can take it!!!!

it is hard, very hard, it took me 10+ years to get my mind in the right place and to finally come up with a system that i could live with, i am looking at it as a lifestyle change a big part for me was accepting that i ate crap food, that the crap food made me fat and feel sick and that if i don't want to be like that any more i can not eat crap food ever again

you do sound a bit like me in that you get bored of all these different types of diets very quickly so you loose focus on them, maybe you need to invent your own diet, made up of the healthier foods that you like to eat and just introduce some form of portion / calorie control to it rather than trying to force yourself to stick to a system that you are at odds with, remember there is no right way to diet, its just about what works for you and all that really matters is that cals in = less than cals used and the food you eat is healthy

trust me on the detox bit thou, if you go two weeks without eating high fat, sugar, cheese and optionally caffeine you wont want it any more and it makes life a lot easier
