I would find no dairy really difficult.
Mind you, lets face it, i find giving up anything edible really difficult atm!
SD, i went back to the dentist for my temp crown to be refitted but it came off again within a few hours
No need to take the blender to work, blend shake at home, lob in some ice cubes and take in a cooler type bottle or a cooler-bag
Where the hell is alias now??0 -

 Hope its not painful, i can still feel that somethings not quite right but i`m hoping that it settles down ok.

What a good idea, i wondered whether or not it would go a bit weird but i shall give it a go before lugging the blender in, thanks :A

Managed to eat tea ok, chicken and chorizo was lovely - really enjoyed it.
The shake kept me full for ages :j I wonder if it can fend off the work nibbles, heres hoping. Thats one big problem that i really need to fix. Two days off now and all is well. I just don`t stuff my face when i`m at home (well not often) I`m on a different shift from Sunday onwards and its a good one for the diet.

Hopefully Alias & sweet are both enjoying some time outdoors and will be back soon.
Something seems missing when they`re not about.

I have to get serious now, you're all putting me to shame
also want to be a lot slimmer if i'm going to have an op.
SD, the shakes i use go a bit thicker when they're kept but i just add a drop of water, or make up a bit thinner, have a go at home to get it right.0 -

I realise now that i was a complete cheese junkie, it was a big part of my weight problem, a long with the low self esteem, self loathing, self destructive cycle etc. Cheese is a double killer on the addiction scales, not only is it high fat which gives you the hormone kick it also contains opiates ..
I read all the various threads with people struggling to loose weight, and time and time again the people not loosing weight or even gaining weight (and thats most people) are the ones who have that little treat, have a meal out, have some booze, have some dark choccy, have some pink n whites. Its just self defeating.
Its about attitude I can not understand the logic in working hard for 6 days of the week only to undo all that work for that quick treat. I set myself a target of loosing 200lbs from Jan 4th 2010 to Jan 3rd 2011 and during that time I will not eat anything counter productive to my weight loss. This is literally a time out period from eating for enjoyment, I dont eat anything I dont like and i love my steak and chips dinner but everything i eat is healthy and balanced to my lower carb scheme.
Giving up addictive foods (high fat, high refined sugar, cheese and caffeine) are easy. Ok easyish. The first two weeks are hard (caffeine withdrawal gives you migraines) but most people can focus will power for 2 weeks, there's nothing special about me my will power is no stronger than anybody elses, the only difference with me is I am sick to !!!! of being a blob and nothing is going to get in the way of this years program. I have allocated a year to this and I am going to stick to it. After the first 2 weeks it becomes easy, you no longer have any cravings and you don't crave sweet things after eating. After a couple of months your palate changes I certainly dont get the kick from cheese anymore, it tastes different.
One of the problems is we have set ideas of what constitutes the types of food we have for specific meals such as cereal, but in other parts of the world they eat very different things for breakfast, so I changed my meals to suit a lower carb healthy eating regime, I have very lean ham for breakfast with a nana, and fish and nuts for lunch.
I also avoid "quick fixes", magic potions, shakes and anything else that promises that none existent magic bullet cure.0 -
Hi all. No idea where Sweet is. I've emailed her and not got a reply so she's maybe on her hols or has found one of those caves we were speaking about heading to in the past.
As for me, I'm a bit p*ssed off with this place right now. People are getting on my nerves so I think it's time I took a wee break otherwise I'm gonna end up telling everyone to fcuk off which clearly isn't good or nice. :rotfl:
(Not you lot I hasten to add, you lot are a nice easy bunch to chat to and I like you loads.)
Anyway, I daresay I'll be posting again very soon as my nose wont let me stay away. :rotfl: See you all later.Herman - MP for all!0 -
