can i ask a personal question of people that have lost big weight (several stones) what has happened to your skin?

unfortnately, i have never had very good skin, very thin with lots of stretch marks from a teenager, so its quite a bad state, are there any creams or whatnot that you use to help it whilst losing weight?

i was told drinking water usually helps your skin shrink back, ive also noticed the shop b and m and also the pound shops are doing a RESCUE OIL which is very similar to bio oil...its fab...
  • I've been drinking lots of water on the celeb slim diet and I have noticed a big improvement in my skin. It used to be quite blotchy but it seems much smoother and healthier looking now.
  • I've been called fat names in the past and it makes me soooo cross. People think they have the right to comment on your appearance like that, it's so upsetting. I think it's good to have control though and if you've decided to lose weight do it for yourself noone else, bit like giving up smoking or something I guess. I've found celebrity slim a real help i have to say but you definitely need to be in the right place mentally to tackle big issues like major weight loss.
  • I hate hearing it when people say they were called fat when they were younger/ or still now. I think its one of the worst things to call people and even with my friends, they used to say little jokes about my weight and it really knocked my confidence. My family always used to make remarks about my weight when I was younger too and I felt like they knocked my efforts.I have to say that the worst feeling is now that I have lost the weight, a lot of people who once called me fat are saying that I'm gorgeous and attempting to get to know me. Its such a sad world where we have to be a certain weight for certain people to want to know us. Everyone's beautiful in their own way.

Anyway sorry for the little rant. I just wanted to say how happy I am that I weighed myself today and I have finally lost 4stone in time for Christmas. I can't wait to see the look on my aunties and uncles faces. There's photo is on my homepage if anyone would like to see it :)
  • Wow, 4 stones is an impressive amount to lose! Well done! :T (Yes, it's awful that people judge you on your size, isn't it?)

It looks unhealthy to me and wouldn't the weight just all pile back on once you had finished?!

Maybe not the best diet to do if you're married with kids..........!!!

QUOTE If you live with people who are not going on the cleanse with you tell them they will have to go eat elsewhere because for the next 10 days your house is to contain nothing but the required items for the diet QUOTE

I think 10 days is too long to go on this sort of regime for, especially if you're trying to carry on with normal day-to-day life.
A weekend as a kick-start to a sensible diet, possibly.

detoxing the body is a bit of a scam, the body does it naturally

just make sure you drink enough water
  • Sounds horrible!

There's so many 'diet plans' preying on people who want results in an unreasonable timescale.
