I do not think it is a relaistic goal to lose that amount of weight in that time. Plus rapid weight loss puts you at risk of rapid weight gain.

In the long term it would be much better to start following a healthy eating plan and to begin exercising daily.

Firstly losing weight for "gain" back a partner rarely works and just isn't worth it! Do you really want a partner that is so shallow that they'd come running back just because you're a size 10?

Secondly its not possible to lose that much weight that rapidly without losing your limbs as some other posters have already pointed out! The reason is there are 3500 calories in a pound of fat To lose 2lbs a week a 7000 calorie deficit per week is required which for women typically means eating only 1000-1300 calories a day (or slightly more calories and exercising more) depending on their starting weight and daily activity level. Even if you eat nothing all for a week (which I do not recommend at all!!!!) most women only burn 2000 calories a day ... so at best you could lose 4 lbs a week.

Often when you first start a diet your body uses its glycogen stores, which consist of water too which is why its possible to lose 4-7lbs in the first week or so of a diet ... but really you're not losing fat at that point and you're body will restore the glycogen + water when it has the first opportunity to do so.

To lose 3 stone (42lbs) in 14 days before Christmas a person would need burn 147000 calories or more than extra 10 thousand calories everyday! Running a mile is often said to use 100 calories, so in practical terms you'd have to run 100 miles every single day between now and Christmas to lose 3 stone. Even running a marathon every day between now and Christmas you would probably only lose a stone (and some of that would be glycogen!).

Hopefully you can understand why you're weight loss goals aren't realistic now. Weight doesn't go on overnight and neither can it be lost overnight either.

while this thread is probably a wind up at worst at best a misguided request Fluffi's post is very interesting as it shows how much hard work is needed to lose weight.

Its just a pity its dead easy to put on, i could easily put 3 stones on before xmas and an other 7 during and after :D
