any partner who returns as a direct result of weight loss is a partner not worth having....0

Dump the partner pdq - you'll lose at least 12 stone!
To try and lose so much weight so quickly is just asking for trouble - if you did lose it, you would pile it back on again immediately - and your reason for losing the weight is completely skewed.
Yes, you should lose some weight - but gradually - a weight loss of 2-3lb a week is do-able, but you need to change not only your diet, but the lifestyle which has contributed to you being overweight in the first instance -so please, look at all the options again. {{hugs}}0 -
the only way to lose that amount of weight that quick is to chop your legs off and scoop out your insides, no chance.
you need slow sustainable weightloss, not fasting.
eta: i doubt any healthy adult should weight 5 stone in total!0 -

one might argue that you have lost the best 10-15 stone with the loss of your partner if he is that conditional about your weight.
but in general terms 2lbs a week is a sustainable weight loss for long term weight staying off.0 -

Seven stone? Are you three feet tall?
The only way you will lose three stone by Christmas is by chopping one of your legs off.0 -
The most you could probably lose is around ONE stone and THAT is only by using a quick fix (not permanent, and not sustainable either!) Atkins/meta ZERO Carb diet.
I lost a stone in 2 weeks doing it recently, the difficulty is then gradually getting back to a 'normal' diet and not putting any weight back on, it's do-able but you need to be VERY disciplined and not easily bored.
If your ex partner is shallow enough to be swayed by you looking slimmer you're better off without them.
Lose the weight for yourself and your health, everything else comes from that.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
amputate both your legs that should do it.
Seriously unless you are VERY short no doctor would recommend you get down to 7stone (and for most normal heighted women 7stone would take you under the size 8 mark).
I've lost a stone in about 3 weeks before by basically not eating for that period and vomiting constantly but that is not a healthy way to loose weight (I had pneumonia btw I wasn't trying to loose weight) you can't loose 3 stone in 2 weeks (ok the first few weeks of biggest loser some loose over a stone but they are starting from a far higher amount than 13 stone)0 -
Just to add to others comments, can I suggest you also dump your GP. Unless you are less than 5ft tall, 7 stone is verging on being - if not actually - underweight and unhealthy.
How tall are you?"carpe that diem"0 -
There is no way you will lose 3 stone by this Christmas and to lose weight to get a partner back is just madness.
2lb a week is healthy weightloss as has already been said, And don't give the ex? partner a second thought if they are that shallow.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
