    Hi peeps

nice and sunny here so i`ve hung out the washing, this morning has been spent [STRIKE]turning the kitchen yellow[/STRIKE] making hm piccalilli. It`s turned out really well so i`m pleased with that - did have a job finding the recipe but i`ve bookmarked it now.

Alias - Glad to see that you`re back but sorry to hear that you had a scare. I love lc but it stopped working for me as i couldn`t stick to it properly after the first time. I think that my body just remembered the woe and decided that it didn`t want to do it :(

Sarah - Good luck with your final appointment tomorrow, hope that your cals work out higher than you`re expecting.

Well my bod has got into the routine so its probably going to be "all change" again now that the shifts are looming. I`ve weighed myself and even after the wine etc last night i`ve stayed the same, i`ve managed to lose 5lb of my holiday weight without really seeming to diet. I really do think that routine and set eating times make a huge difference to me.

Anyhow, work is a calling, have a nice afternoon everyone.

I forgot how hellish Day One was. :(

I felt so tired and lethargic that I took myself off to bed this afternoon for a nap. I now also have a splitting headache. Four days of this will kill me.

I also have forgotten everything I used to eat, so I'm struggling to remember what to put on my shopping list.

I had cheese and bacon omelette this morning. Cold cooked chicken in mayo at lunch and rainbow fish paella thingy for dinner, which I had at 4.30pm because I was feeling so yucky.

I need quick, easy and simple food for the next 4 days until I get past this initial nasty phase.

What can I eat? If you don't all mind me and suggest something EASY, I'll be having cheese omelette, chicken and rainbow fish thingy for the next few days. :rotfl:

I can't even remember what vits I used to take....shame I can remember the cotton wool brain though. :o This next 4 days better pass quickly!

That's good, thought I was the only one. I end up lurking a lot coz by the time I've read all the posts I forgot what I wanted to reply to. :o

Went to aqua aerobics last night but our usual instructor was ill so instead they roped in the woman who does the aquanatal class. Being more used to gentle exercise for preggers ladies she was at a loss what to do with us. We ended up playing ring-a-roses and oranges & lemons in the water, hardly a strenous work out but I haven't laughed so much in ages.

Not losing any weight at the mo, possibly due to the take-aways and crisps that keep finding their way into my gullet (sorry Eliza).

No problem, am not even tempted this evening, and have a virtuous halo around my head. Just got in after a work meeting, and haven't had any crisps or anything really naughty today, other than a choc biscuit that I found in my bag, how did that get there. But fruit and yog for breakfast, salad sandwich, which was less bread and more watercress, and quick beans on toast for tea is a pretty good day really, and I just have to have some diluted wine now, after working so hard all day.

I'm such a carb lover too, I couldn't cut out completely, all I can hope for is to cut down.

Hello all. Bloody awful metabolic rate test - my basic rate is 1160. That's 40 calories less than most diets tell you to aim at, and that's what I have to eat to maintain! How am I ever going to manage that? The doctor did say that I would probably struggle and that the key is more exercise. Bah and crap. How depressing.

That's going to be difficult sticking to that every day sarah. Guess you better take up long distance running as your new hobby then? ;):D

I'm tired again today. Just sat down and found myself starting to snore. I really hope losing weight helps the snoring thing, it's becoming a real problem. :o

Both my dad and my DH stopped snoring when they lost weight, particularly off their upper bodies. I think it squashes your lungs and your windpipe, or summat.

normally they calc your BMR which does not allow for any activity at all, even sedentary people add 20% to there BMR, more if your more active

i would recommend resistance based training to build up the lean body mass and a lot of protein

my BMR is 2880 atm :p 6 months of weights
