Hiya peeps :hello:
Feel like I've got my PMA back todayCould be to do with the fact the kids have gone back to school today!! :j:o
Have had a lovely morning just doing my own thing - food shopping mostly - but now I've got loads of good stuff to eat & I feel more in control. I've made a rough meal plan for the week & have all the necessary ingredients so no excuses to go off track!!
I might have a cooking day tomorrow & make stuff to put in the freezer, makes life so much easier for me. Also decided to finally get a microwave so that I can re-heat stuff quickly & have more baked spuds!! Think I could quite happily live on baked spuds with various fillings!! :rotfl:
Doing loaded potato skins tonight, thinking of having mine with mushy peas on the side (parp). Other meals I have planned are macaroni tuna cheese, HM meatballs & spaghetti, possibly HM sausages out of the SW magazine & I really fancy a big juicy steak with chips sometime this week as well
Oops, think I'm sounding a bit food-obsessed:whistle:
See you later :wave:0 -
Had about 6 macademia nuts for lunch, with some cheese (Brie and Tesco's lighter mature cheapie cheese), and a slice of ham (a little after, since I had that 'I wanna keep munching' feeling..).
Made tea early, as I knew I'd nibble if I tried to wait. I had a couple of those fish 'blocks' from the freezer (cod), broccoli, cauli., carrots, peas & sweetcorn (freezer again) and some parsley sauce.
Was nice, and I was full. Must make more of an effort to do that kind of thing 'properly' i.e. fresh!
Also had most of a big bottle of 'Kingfisher' beer.. was feeling down and ratty, and it needed drinking..
The night's not over yet, so I hope I don't find myself in the kitchen.. grazing.. I intend to have a small bar of 70% dark choc. in the next hour with a cup of (decaf.) tea, as my fifth and final 'meal' of the day..0 -
Hope you didn't find yourself in the kitchen, hanno
Sounds like a good idea to have 5 'meals', little & often, it keeps your metabolism ticking over supposedly.
I'm sat here a little bit hungry, I've had some supper (SW friendly) but still a bit peckish, my belly has obviously stretched after my pigathonAnyway, I'm not going to have anything else to eat tonight, the belly will have to wait until morning to be filled up again!!

Daisy, altho i havent had a stroke, post heart attack it was so expensive for holiday ins, but i was not going to pay more for ins than the holiday so i did some research and found out you can get cover in europe (where you off to??) with EHIC plus, it tops up your european health card cover as long as you go to an nhs hospital and not a posh resort one its free
I googled where the local hospital was, wrote some phrases down for my friends incase we needed a taxi or ambulance to get there, and it worked out soo cheap, (cheaper than my friends) and apparently, if theres complications you get sent to the local goverment hospital anyway, and like here, they use the same docs.
But if you go to the private hospital first and transferred they wont pay, you have to go straight. and you'll need your card at all times as thay need to see it.
That was spain btw, check out other countries.
thanks hon - yes have e111 cards already
have a couple of specialist places to try - his medication has been changed now so hoping that should make it cheaper again:j MFi3 wannabee :j
mortgage owing 04.07 £36,000
mortgage owing 07.10 £0 !!!!

Morning :hello:
Tis a grey & miserable day here - had to have the lights on this morning
Just had onken fat-free vanilla yoghurt with fresh rasps & banana for brekkie - yum - the onken is a lot nicer than mullerlight.
Think I might make soup today - would like to make BNS soup but hubby doesn't like it  Should I just say to hell with him & make it anyway?? I always feel guilty when I make something he doesn't like but if I don't make it then I lose outI've lost count of the times I've had to omit ingredients because hubby doesn't like them, we've been together 20 years so it's a lot
Sorry, I'm talking myself into a mood there!!
Decision made, I'm making BNS soup & sod him this time!!
Will also make a chilli to portion up for the freezer & it'll have lots of stuff that he doesn't like in it!! *cackles like a witch* :rotfl:
Hope everyone doing ok today :wave:0 -

I feel the same but with tv progs. My progs are set to record on sky but for some reason they always seem to coincide with his and mine get removed from the planner and his get set to record instead. He reckons he doesn't do this and it must be accidental. Yeah right.
We have a lot of power cuts these days and they seem to affect the planner.
*joins in with the cackling* :rotfl:
Well joiner was a no show again yesterday. Daughter was in tears this morning because she couldn't sleep last night because of my snoring again. This just isn't working at all so it looks like I need to be on the couch until the last doors are on and she can have a room again. No wonder I drink.
OH is off to an army reunion thing soon and he's thin and fit and I'm old fat, grey and flabby. Self esteem is not high. (I'm 7 years older than him anyway which doesn't help.) No wonder I drink. Oh did I say that already? :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -
:rotfl: at the cackling, can just picture the two of you.
Know how you feel alias, my OH was eight years younger, i used to look younger than him but fatness soon saw that off
Had a bit of an eaty day yesterday (after effects of drinking) not too bad though, wont weigh for a week methinks0 -
Ok....I'll fess up...it's 7 + 1/2 years difference. (Happy now you said 8 :rotfl:)
Yeah I just look old cos I'm fat. Mind you, if I lose it all...will I just look old and droopy? :rotfl: Skin just isn't as forgiving at my age.Herman - MP for all!0 -
