Morning all.
Was too tired to come in here yesterday.
Had a looong day, came home starving at 8.30 pm, cooked food for us, ate mine and fell asleep on the sofa til midnight (still in my uncomfortable uniform) went straight to bed then.
Feel refreshed today but back to work Fri and Sat
I dont like not having two days off together
My youngest has gone for his A level results
I dug out my books and started SW yesterday, was very good all day.
Wont be joining a class, will do it at home tho.
Found lots of little notes on what i was eating back then, but lots of syns were taken up with wine
Dont drink much now so it should be even easier
See sweet, just drivell
Oh and btw, wheres that roulade ?0 -
Oooooh, fingers crossed for the A' Level results mazzers & lots of luck with SW :j
Right, the roulade recipe (taken from SW support thread but originally from minimims website) :
Fruit Roulade (1/2 syn for the whole lot)
1 TUB QUARK
4 EGGS
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
4 TBSP SWEETNER (I ADDED LOT MORE LOL) I used 4 heaped tbsp
VANILLA ESSENCE (OR ANY)
FRESH FRUIT
SEPARATE THE EGGS
ADD THE YOLK, HALF THE QUARK,
BAKING POWDER, SWEETNER AND ESSENCE INTO A BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE.
WHISK EGG WHITE TILL STIFF. WHISK HALF INTO THE MIXTURE THEN FOLD IN OTHER HALF.
USING A SWISS ROLL TIN SPRAY WITH FRY LIGHT ( I PUT GREASPROOF PAPER IN FIRST THE SPRAY SO DOESNT STICK) I poured the mixture directly onto one of those non-stick teflon cooking mat things (Home Bargains £1.99) so didn't need to spray with oil - worked fine POUR THE MIXTURE IN AND BAKE AT
180 FOR 15 - 20 MINUTES. LEAVE TO COOL Check after 15 mins, mine was ready at that point
IN A DISH ADD REMAINING QUARK ,SWEETNER, AND ESSENCE AND MIX TOGETHER. I added 2tsp of splenda & 1tbsp of fat-free fromage frais to the quark plus 1tsp of vanilla extract. You can play around with the filling to suit your own personal taste.
REMOVE THE CAKE FROM TIN WHEN COOL SPREAD THE QUARK EVENLY, ADD FINELY CHOPPED FRUIT (STRAWBERRY AND BANANA MY FAVE). ROLL THE CAKE FROM ONE END. SLICE TO SERVE.
THE WHOLE CAKE IS ONLY HALF A SYN AND THATS THE BAKING POWDER. CAN ALSO ADD CHOC OPTIONS SACHET FOR FLAVOURING. WHEN THE CAKE COMES OUT OF THE OVEN IT WILL HAVE RISEN LOADS I thought mine looked like a big yorkshire pudding!! BUT WILL GO VERY FLAT WHEN COOL LOL I THOUGHT IT HAD GONE WRONG FIRST TIME I MADE IT BUT WAS LOVELY.
And the pic :
It is soooooo light & fluffy, might make another one today

Ooh, that looks lovely, sounds a bit like oopsies recipe.
I've been having lots of chopped fruit with a muller light poured over, saw someone in work doing it and it tastes as good as it looks, my youngest saw it and wanted one
Incidentally he did pass.. just, but will be going to his second choice uni, which is much nearer.
He never really applied himself and doesn't seem bothered now either, i could shake him.0 -
Afternoon. (Or evening depending on your viewpoint
)
Mazzers.....he passed. Don't worry about the rest.
Sweet.....sweet. Iyswim.Looks lovely. :T
I've had an eventful day today. Was in the garden today cutting slabs of insulation when the old lady who stays across from me came out of her door and shouted for me. She was in a bit of a state as her nose had been bleeding for ages and wouldn't stop. It had happened yesterday too as she was quite weak.
I ended up taking her to the small incident clinic at our local hospital (wearing my oldest, scabbiest, most stained with glue and paint, clothes I that I have . I also had Dennis Healy eyebrows and a dirty face.I was really conscious of how awful I looked but what can you do? :rotfl: After she was seen, I took her home and then collected her prescription at the chemist for her (looking the same way
). I just know people will think I dress like this normally. :rotfl:

mazzers, well done to your youngest on passing his 'A' Levels & getting into Uni, that's an achievement in itself these days :j
I do the muller & fruit thing as well, tis very nice. I usually have mine with shredded wheat bitesize - a very big & filling brekkie
Iswym aliasThere is an awful lot of splenda in the roulade recipe. I was worried it would taste eggy so went with what the recipe said, it doesn't taste really sweet, just a nice cakey rouladey flavour :rotfl:
I've made another one tonightWell, the oven was on for the baked spuds so I thought I may as well get my money's worth!!

Evening peeps
its been a bit manic today, just seen the time and i`m not sure where the day has gone  mad hectic both at home and work too. I can`t wait to get back home cos i`m soooo tired now.
Sweet - The roulade recipe looks lovely - smashing pic too. I`ll be sure to make it, thanks for posting
Alias - :A nice to know that someone is there to help the oldies.
Mazzers - When i come home tired its usually the food that finishes me offas soon as i`ve eaten i`m tired and can`t keep my eyes open. Think i need to slow down a bit or i might not last too much longer
Right back to the grindstone, have a good evening peeps.

Morning :hello:
Just had my usual yog/fruit/shredded wheat brekkie & I'm stuffed to my neck!!
Had a weird dream last night - alias had posted that she was going to get laid by the electrician!! Unfortunately her OH found out about it & was going ballistic, and as I was staying with her at the time with my kids, I had to make a swift exit & left behind my mullerlights & wine!! :rotfl: Told you it was weird!!
Anyway, I was just wondering if peeps have a size/weight goal they are aiming for. I would love to be a size 14 & maybe weigh somewhere between 10-11 stone?? So a couple of dress sizes & a good couple of stones (ok, 3 stones) is what I'd like to lose. Anyone else care to share??
Btw, my facial skin is feeling lovely atm, very smooth & soft & I think it's because I've finally started using the Aldi moisturiser I bought months ago - siana?? It was only cheap (less than £2) but has had rave reviews in the press, definitely worth a try for that price.
Have a good day peeps :wave:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thank you for thinking about my stress levels and trying to find me a way of lowering them.:D The electrician I use is wayyyyyyy past his use by date and the other one is soooo not my type. I'd have a wee go at the joiner though so bear that in mind for the next episode wont you?
I'll put the Mullerlights in the fridge for you but you've dipped on the wine.
By the way, I'd be happy at size 14 too. No idea what I weigh these days but can safely say it'll take way more than 3 stone to get there.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Morning all.
Very tired today, 'tis all catching up now. Another couple of weeks and it should mostly all be sorted (but that depends of whether the joiner can extend his days here).
OH seems happy on the couch, he reckons it's the best sleep he's had in ages.....no-one snoring beside him.Apparently I kept waking daughter up last night. I never used to be like this so it's either an age thing or a fat thing or both. Really getting to the stage where I need time for me now, got loads to sort out about myself never mind the house. One day......
Really feel like sitting on the couch today, old bones are weary as they say.
Have a good day all.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Hi peeps
just sat down to a late brekkie of toast and hm pate, the pate was a test as i`ve altered the recipe and it now has no butter in to make it low fat and its lovely. Makes it a lot cheaper to make too so thats how i`ll be making it from now on.
Dinner will be a jacket spud with tuna and tea will be salmon, mushroom and red pesto pasta. I`ve divided that up into two small tubs so that when i`m hungry later i can eat the rest so will be having tea in two parts IYKWIM.
Sweet - :rotfl: at the dream, strange how some dreams are so
vivid.
Well the kitchen is tidy once again, the pizzas have been topped in fact i`m going barmy. Just remembered that the pasta is for tea tomorrow and the pizzas are for today  i`ll have to start leaving more notes for myself stuck to the fridgeI`ve also made a huge pan of lentil & bacon soup. That will do some dinners to take to work and some for the freezer too for when i don`t have much time to make anything.
The woofaloes are walked and happy, they`ve just had a chew type thingy for their teeth and are now starting to fall asleep.
I`m waiting ten more mins then i`m off in the shower, someone from freecycle is really p***ing me off. She posted a wanted ad for a pc tower as she has a disabled son that uses the pc for learning and hers was broken, i have a relative who has one complete with windows disc and arranged for it to be fetched to our town for her and three times now she`s not turned up to collect it  If she doesn`t collect tomorrow then i`ll advertise it but i`m fed up as it took a lot of arranging to sort out for her plus a waste of petrol to get it here!
Right rant over
I`m off to tidy up and then hop in the shower then its work until late
Have a good day peeps
