Well.. it'd either be you or me, everyone else seems focussed.
Although, it wouldn't be calorie laden enough for us :D

You know me so well. :rotfl:

...... and drilled holes in lots of things.....

That's nice. :D Were they for a purpose...or just for the hell of it? :D

I've spent this evening moving the socket for my boiler and taking off a sheet of plasterboard so I can run some network cable.

I did wonder what I'll do once I'm happy with things and I have no more need to interact with plasterboard anymore. :rotfl:

Well most of them had a purpose :D I stopped when i ran one hole into another and had to get the filler out, took me ages to get it from down my nails :o

More drilling tomorrow  I`ve towel rails to put up and blinds too, not looking forward to it cos i`ve had enough now.

I wish we had plasterboard, lots of it in the last house - this one is too difficult to do things in. I keep finding engineering bricks in odd places and ruining drills. Plasterboard is soooo much easier.

I`ve just been outside admiring my new outside light :o beer in hand - bet the neighbours have loved me today cos its been a bit noisy. Doing the light nearly killed me cos the house was clad by previous peeps so took some getting through, the quick setting concrete is a pain cos it sets before you get a chance to do anything with it  Didn`t manage to get my sleep either as Dsis phoned. I went out and cut the grass instead. I`m starving now :o think i`ll have a quick look in the fridge..........................
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

I've been sooo tired. In fact I attempted to do wii fit thing and after five mins gave up and went off into the kitchen to find something to eat! Does it count that I watched the tv sprite exercising? I've had tonsillitus this week (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) - so back on the old wagon tomorrow.

I did 3 minutes this morning. :o Had good intentions, but didn't feel right so went back to bed. On the plus side, didn't eat whilst I was sleeping! :p I think the week just caught up with me.

Sunny I can't help thinking if I had you and Maz up here for a week, my house would be sorted in no time. :D

Joiner hasn't shown this morning. Bit fed up as you just cant work round a pallet with 5 doors on it and countless lengths of oak plate. We've just spent ages moving them into the other empty bedroom (got 2 out of action right now) to free up a little space in the hall but even then we're still climbing over things.

Really tired and hungry today, think stress makes you that way. Got big grey roots again as not had time to dye my hair lately. I'm such a honey right now. :rotfl:

Where the heck are you all this morning anyway? :(

We should spend a couple of weeks in turn at each others lol, probably wouldn`t get any work done though, it`d be all pizza and beer :D

Drilling more holes :p I`ve had enough now, the bloke who fitted the kitchen will be calling around later and he`s going to put the blind up. I`m struggling balanced with one foot on a ladder and one knee on the draining board trying to avoid the new mixer taps and drilling holes in the top of the window recess. I`m not strong enough/can`t get the leverage to get deep enough into the brick. In fact it may even have a concrete lintel above there. I don`t want to risk falling through the draining board either :p don`t think they were made to take so much weight :o

Hope so, i`ve just fed my mate a purple chilli straight from the plant in the greenhouse, i`ve never seen anyones eyes water so much for so long :D I`ve not tried one yet - she was the guinea pig :rotfl:

I`m allowing myself a short rest then i`m off to scrub the bathroom and hoover up the brick dust, afterwards i can scrub myself cos i`m telling you now that i ain`t a pretty sight :D

  • Hiya peeps :hello:

You DIY divas put me to shame, I can't even change a plug fuse :o

It's my weigh-in at SW tonight & I'm soooo nervous. I really just want to be the same weight as the last time I went, I've been so good with my food since Thursday, fingers crossed. I had a late & rather large lunch earlier though so we will see.

Will be having chilli again tonight :o I'm over my cold but my excuse for having it this time is that my fridge-freezer needs defrosting  My wonderful Bosch frost-free fridge-freezer that is!! I've lost count of how many times I've had to defrost the bl00dy thing since we bought it.

Oh & on the subject of chilli, while I've been living on Aldi mince for the last few days, hubby (he stayed on in Scotland to go [STRIKE]drinking[/STRIKE] away with his pals) has been eating langoustines & venison & come home skint - I'm really mad

Anyway, may report back after SW, hope everyone doing ok today
  • Btw, anyone know where I can buy mustard seeds from?? It's an ingredient in a bombay potato recipe that I fancy doing. Looked in Tesco today but couldn't find any in the spice or mustard aisle
