&**!!!&(&**&EW(&!!!!!!@@!!
Hoseasons have just called to cancel our booking as the owner of the cottage has decided to do work on it during the week we had it! So I now have a week in the remote place and nowhere to go for the second week. There's no way I'm going to get something now! I'm flipping annoyed. They shouldn't be allowed to do that if there are firm (and paid for in full!) bookings!
I hate folk. I do.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Ok I'm back and I'm calm now.
Hoseasons have called back to say they have found one single solitary place left in roughly the right area we need to be and although it's much more expensive, they will transfer our booking to there and waive the extra charges. It's a bit further away than hoped for which means OH's travelling time to work will increase along with the petrol costs but it has it's own personal sauna so what do I care, I'm sorted. :rotfl:
It was either that or a full refund and I've been searching since the first phone call and found nothing so a refund wouldn't have helped. Anything that's available now is over a grand for the week and we can't afford that and the insurance wont pay that so it's good Hoseasons gave us the expensive place for the cost of the original place. It's also in an area where there is loads for the kids to do and walks for woofy so all's well that ends well (for me, the kids and the dog anyway).
Happy days are here once more.
(Well almost....I've spent so long today with this matter that I've not got anything else done yet.)

Hello Folks. I'm new to this forum and looking for some help please. About 12 years ago, I got a copy of the Scottish Slimmers diet and managed to lose just over 3 stone in 10 months. Then my dad died suddenly and I went all to pot with my eating and put a lot of it back on.
Over the years , I've been unable to get much weight off . I now feel hellish about my weight and want to try this diet again. I wonder if any of you know the amount of snacks allowed for a female on this diet as i seem to have lost the quantities page. One breakfast, one lunch, one main meal, ? snacks and as much as you want off the unlimited foods page.
Many thanks in advance.

The amount of snacks you were allowed depended on how much you weighed if I remember correctly. The fatter you were at the start, the more snacks you were allowed.
I think I might still have my SS folder thingy, I'll go have a hunt and post back if I find it.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Bored!
Very, very bored.
Where are you all today?
Finally escaped from the mess that is laughingly described as our daughter's bedroom, she'll be able to get into bed tonight now.
Sat here hungry but cant be bothered making anything as I'm knackered so I'll probably have a cheese scone. See! I told you all I would be thin if I was rich, I'd just have one of my minions cook me something healthy. :rotfl:
Bucky seems none the worse for wear now. He's been chapping at the door again so I gave him cheese on toast. He's very happy now.
I'm kinda thinking he's looking fat now. :rotfl:
jasmine......OH tells me the SS stuff and our cookbooks are in the loft so I'm sorry but I suspect the info wont be forthcoming anytime soon. (Our loft is crammed with unwrapped rolls of insulation so it'll be impossible to get to anything right now, sorry).Herman - MP for all!0 -

That's Ok. Hopefully someone else may be able to help. Thanks.

Sarah sorry to read about your worries with your mum and dad. I hope you can get some support for your mum in place xx
I've stuffed my face all day with custard cream bicciesWhy when we go out for the day does it seem to make me want to eat for England?!! I am dreading going on holiday as I fear any progress I've made will be obliterated in 10 days holiday
Holiday mode for me seems to equate eating food 24-7

If I think of it as a diet, I'll yo yo again. I have friends on WW who tell me 'it's a lifestyle change, not a diet' and I think that's good advice.
I did hesitate before I used the word 'diet' as I don't like that word either, but I wasn't sure if you'd know what I meant if I said WOE (way of eating) which is what I prefer to use. Lifestyle change is good tooBitsy_Beans wrote: »Holiday mode for me seems to equate eating food 24-7
Me too, but I'm hoping my SW syn allowance is going to mean I can keep things under control a bit!!
alias, what a result with the holiday cottage plus sauna!! Woohoo :j Bl00dy cheek the owner cancelling at the last minute for the other one though.
And what are you going to do about Bucky when you're away?? Are you going to instruct the builders to feed him cheese on toast in your absence?! :rotfl:0 -

We hate seagulls, apart from one seagull who regularly visits our street. There are several who drop by, but we can tell which one is 'our' seagull and we like him.
We don't feed him but the restaurant does. He's very tame and a bit scared of people, which is unusual, given that most seagulls around here are fat vicious things.sweetserendipity wrote: »I did hesitate before I used the word 'diet' as I don't like that word either, but I wasn't sure if you'd know what I meant if I said WOE (way of eating) which is what I prefer to use. Haha, I've never heard 'woe' in that way before. Love it!0
