Sweet, i am a lost cause
Cant say i'm eating all the time but i am eating all the wrong things.
Had a shake for brekkie at 9am then didnt get a break til 3pm, i did complain that it was too long to wait but we were short staffed so i just had to wait, ended up having curry and chips and an apple, then had a peppermint aero coz i was still hungry
Had a cheese sandwich out of seedy bread and a few pringles followed by a pecan brownie when i got in at 8pm.
Not a huge amount of food but chips/bread/aero/brownie = not good
I thought all the rushing around sweating for nine hours would maybe help me to lose a bit even if i was eating rubbishno chance it seems as i'm bloated like a beach ball atm.

Morning peeps, woke up early, same thing happened last Sat morning, hard to switch off after a very busy Friday.
Hoping a bit of a mosey on lappy will help me drift back off for an hour.
Am starting to get a gnawing sensation in my stomach when i'm hungry, have often gone a long time without eating but never had that before, usually just a bit of rumblimg.. hope it's not an ulcer
It's prob wind from all the carbs i spect0 -
Little one's been sick three times already this morning. He seems right as rain then just chucks up..
Consequently they were up much earlier than normal. He's currently moaning at his brother for not wanting to play 'draughts' with him (DS1 doesn't want to because DS2 doesn't play properly heh).
OH says he's not feeling good either, and I've felt better, but that's probably the vodka rather than the KFC.. (had very few fries: they're disgusting anyway. Cold cardboard.. And even the skin I wasn't that bothered about: I normally love the skin on KFC.. )
Better go get ready for work..........
Have a good day peeps.0 -
Morning all. Just opened my eyes and I feel harrassed already. Got soooo much to do over the next 2 days that I have no idea if Ill get it all done (mostly because I just dont want to do it and I procrastinate hugely at times like this
). New joiner is coming on Monday and there's loads I have to do to prepare things so they are ready for him to start.
I also need to empty daughter's room as she's home today ( it was used as a dumping ground all week for allsorts...washing, bags of plaster, wood, you name it).
Insurance are getting impatient as the plumber hasn't given his invoice and I've been on his case but still nothing. I cant get the money I've already laid out refunded until all the invoices are in. I'm already down £1.5k and I really need it back. And the main company who are fixing the damage want over a grand as a deposit for the work. Pains. Just as well I'm not thin really, I might have been tempted to sell my wares to help get some money.:rotfl:
Oh well...I'm sure some toast and a cuppa tea will help.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I lost a stone and a half earlier this year through religious wii fitting and have probably lost another half stone (much more slowly, mind) through watching what I eat. My top tip for other dieters is to keep a food diary - I started doing this because of a medical condition, but actually, it's been really good for my weight. I weigh in every day and write down everything I've eaten and drank.
If you have to write down "a mouthful of a cake OH was eating" etc, you are much less likely to pinch someone else's food.As we all know, these are where the hidden calories come from!
I'm really honest with what I write, because no one else is allowed to look at my little book and it keeps me on the straight and narrow. I've also started drinking more water because of it and made a real effort to increase my fruit/veg intake. When all the crap you ate one day is in black and white, you are forced to admit to yourself that you may be losing weight, but still aren't eating healthily enough!
May not be for everyone, but I thought I'd share as it's something that's really helped me and isn't specific to one diet.0 -

I think that's a small price to pay, I'd happily write things down but it wouldn't stop me eating them. Knowing me I'd end up learning shorthand just so I could do it quicker. :rotfl:
Good tip for those with better backbones than mine though.Well done on your achievement btw.

Ah, I've got quite a small notebook, so there are only so many lines I can write on each day...It's more the shame factor - I could quite happily eat an entire loaf of bread in one sitting, but I would feel really bad seeing that written down, so the notebook helps control my greed!

Thanks.I'm only 6 lb from not being overweight now - I looked at myself after Christmas and decided something had to be done!!

I have a remote cottage to get through yet. I suspect plentiful wine and chocolate will be needed for that one. :rotfl:
I'm so jealous, I would kill for somewhere like that, need to get away from my neighbour, he does my nut in at this time of year *sigh*Am starting to get a gnawing sensation in my stomach when i'm hungry, have often gone a long time without eating but never had that before, usually just a bit of rumblimg.. hope it's not an ulcer
Could it be your new coil thingy??
Morning all :hello:
Busy week ahead as we have visitors staying next weekend & my house is a tipLoads of unfinished jobs & cleaning to do. Unfortunately it's imminent totm so I cba to do any of it.
hanno, hope your family feel better soon. We hate KFC. We're not one for takeaways anyway (Mucky D if anything) but we thought we'd try KFC as a 'treat' one time & it was disgusting, never again.
donquine, thanks for the post & I agree about the food diary. I'm currently on Slimming World so have to keep a food diary to show my consultant, but the only other time I've kept one was when I was doing low-GI. Maybe if I'd kept a diary at other times (when I wasn't on a diet) I wouldn't be where I am now, weightwise0 -

Nothing like people visiting to make you tidy up... it doesn't get done here, otherwise!sweetserendipity wrote: »donquine, thanks for the post & I agree about the food diary. Glad to see someone backing me up on the diary. It's such a simple thing to do, but it really works for me.
I'm not on a 'diet', really... I'm just taking more of an interest in what I'm eating and trying to have sensible non piggy portions like normal human being.
OH more or less said to me to pick a weight and to stick to it because yo-yoing wasn't good for me... He's right. So I'm choosing to be a healthy weight and to stay there this time. If I think of it as a diet, I'll yo yo again. I have friends on WW who tell me 'it's a lifestyle change, not a diet' and I think that's good advice.
I don't need to eat til I feel sick - until I feel full is fine!0 -
Remember Bucky, my local friendly seagull that visits me? Well he's got blood on his neck this morning.
He's sat on my doorstep just looking at me. At first I thought it might have been surface blood from roadkill but I think he has a small beaksize hole in his neck. I don't know the first thing about seagull injuries but I hope it doesn't get infected. He's a solid looking healthy bird so hopefully he will heal ok. I'm going to give him more cheese....he has the sympathy vote.
See what I mean about procrastinating?I'm still sat here.
